If you noticed the railway budget mentions trains to be extended till shirdi for ex: 7001/2 sc-mmr express is goin 2 be extended till shirdi and there are also spl trains like vskp-shirdi express

The waitlist in this process went up to 64. Considering the upcoming summer season, it is difficult to get confirmtion. Better you may try in Tatkal immediately on openig of booking - as the Tatkal get over in very few minutes.

Thanks man, I probably thought so... This route is always too busy; perhaps they should consider making to & fro trains daily, especially Duronto Exp.

its speed is ok...if a superfast train without stopping at many stops like this train takes only an hour or 2 more 2 cover the distance from new delhi 2 pune...then this train must b a superfast

heyy wt about dadar amritsar,dakshin,andaman,navyug,......they r even slower

If you are taking Jhelum exp, do not travel till Pune. Get down at New Delhi, go to Nizamuddin and take Duranto. You will reach Pune 7 hrs before Jhelum Exp.

Cool.. Duranto has plenty of berths vacant for 18th and 21st Jan. And all vacancies for subsequent days. So Delhi to Pune reservation is very easily available.

they're quite costly.....a person cannot travel in sleeper in this train..and 3AC charges r higher than normal.superfast trains

its a fairly slow train. its got many stoppages but other than that its about OK. not sure about the food!

Not at all a good train.
I travelled to and fro from Pune to Ambala by 2nd AC and 3rd AC resp.
Lots of stoppage. Instead of reaching at 12:30 night I reached at 2:35 so completing wasting 2 nights.
No charging system so my work suffered. water problem. sleeping etc is not comfortable. Bedding given was torn. Towels were given after 3-4 requests after 8 hours.
At last food... Please don’t eat anything expect tea (which you have to take) I packed two times food for 3rd time I took from train which was worst. Even last option biryani was worst (Non veg strictly no) I preferred batata wada from station(at manmad it was hot) other wise milk bottle etc a good option. After traveling to Ambala I was sick for whole day wothout taking a single drop of water. So at least for me this is first and last journey by Jhelam (May be Jalim... what every one was telling)
A big sufferer....

if the traveller is not comfortable in 2nd AC then he should prefer going by air instead of completely wasting 2 nights. there is no compulsion to eat from pantry car. there are so many stops in between which have good options which they can choose and have it. stops in between stations are meant for all, not only for 2nd ac/3rd ac people. if he can afford he can very well go by air.

y only american amtrak coach? indian coaches are ok. which two/three trains go to central ? one saw an example of reduction in stoppage in bihar. do you want this situation anywhere else.
agreed speed should be increased and more ac coaches are to be added.
since pune new delhi trains go through bhushaval manmad route, rajdhani express train timings is not possible.

I think its a great idea to have a train between pune and BCT as against CST. bus loads of passengers travel to the WR suburbs from pune everyday for the lack of direct trains. I guess a engine reversal will be mandated at Vasai Rd and not sure if thats fesable. But never the less the train cud be routed as pune lonavala-panvel-vasai rd-borivili - andheri -Bandra.

Amtrak sucks. It should not be emulated becoz USA is generally backward in Rail transport. One should take inspiration from French or Japanese.
