AVADH EXP TO GKP: Travelled recently in this train to gkp and here are my observations:
2TIER AC COACH: Decent coach, made in 2004, normal blue interiors. Main Problem is the lack of a SINGLE WORKING CHARGING POINT IN the 2nd AC Coach. Plus, even if they worked, do remember that all the sockets are TWO PIN only, meaning that most laptop and Nokia Smartphone chargers wont fit in. It's truly irritating to be in 2nd ac and bug 3rd AC passengers to charge your phone. The TTEs, esp from Lucknow are dead corrupt. From Lucknow to GKP, the 2AC Coach and 3AC coach are filled with local passengers paying bribes to the TTEs without any official receipt.
3AC COACH: The Avadh had two 3AC Coaches, one with the old blue interiors and one modern brown color interior coach. Both were horribly packed with people and resembled a normal sleeper compartment. Many people were openly boozing and the TTEs seemed to take absolutely no notice.
SLEEPER COACHES: Old and dirty. crowded with plenty of people on waiting list tickets.
GENERAL COMPARTMENTS: Horrible. The Avadh has 2 general compartments which are JAM PACKED beyond anything i've seen. At Bandra terminus, policemen line up general passengers into a queue to get seats. They openly ask for 100rs bribe and those who pay are taken right to their seats openly by these corrupt policemen.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS: Very very poorly managed train. The Kushinagar is a FAR FAR better train in every way. Corrupt policemen and TTEs rule in this train. Plus, the train is usually late. From Luckow to GKP, the train has so many small small stops and runs like a passenger train. Only if u really have no other choice, take this train.

Any idea how's the 2nd and 3rd AC coaches? Are they new - brown color interiors? Hows the food? I have a RAC 2 ticket in 2-tier AC for feb 10th. Do u think it will get confirmed?

arey dec 01 ko awadh 9037 6:30 hrs late tha and new departure time was 6:15am 02 dec tha and ye log bindas information de rahe ke on time abhi ye train 02 dec 07:40 ko just valsad bhi nahi pahochi aur yahaan to muje information mil rahi hai ke ye alredy vadodara cross kar diya hai and ratlam pahochne wali hai what an information and we believe ,right?

This trains facility class look like a lower catagory.
how expensive food price in this train and how lower qualities food are in the train. Rice are not boiled Dal is like water not salted.
very bad food are in this train. I really woorried about this types of
un convience service.
u take some money but give passangers eating food as like that make eatable.
