With MDU Duronto operated in the SA-KRR-DG line, we can expect it to reach MDU before Pandian. Since the distance was reduced we can expect a Fare change as well. Expecting the duronto to now reduce the heavy passenger load of the mighty Pandian.....
Fare will definitely change and good at least, it will reduce the load on over night trains.

RAC means Reservation Against Cancellation. You are 115th on the RAC List. If final status remains RAC at charting, you will get only sitting accomodation (Sharing of 1 berth with co-passenger). No berth for sleeping.

Why is FC still maintained in Pandian alone when it has been replaced in Nellai, Pearlcity and Pothigai?
They are replaced in Nellai & Peral City for RSA convenience. Pandiyan doesnt have RSA with any trains at present. So, Pandiyan, Rockfort, Alleppy etc are running with FC coaches.

Is it true that SR is replacing all FC coaches with 3A in all trains?
Currently FC is there in Pandian, Nellai Pearl city and Rockfort.

I heard this as well.. FC will be slowly replaced. I am not sure if it would be by 3A.. For e.g Alleppey Exp was augmented with 3A but FC was not removed.

No sir Pandian has no RSA, Nellai 12631/32 has RSA with Pothigai express 12662.

Turning the clock back 20 years!! Taken from the MG Pandyan Exp. while it was departing from CGL. [JULY 1992] It's hard for me to digest that I never see MG electrics in this section again!As the train skirted the Kolavai lake, I tried zooming to capture the YAM1 that was hauling our train.
