Since its inception (not sure) it takes the route MGS-BSB-ALD which increases its journey time. I believe BSB-ALD-NDLS route has many trains. Any opinion??
Very interesting question Majumder. Let me explain to you why this train is routed via BSB. This train leaves HWH at almost the same time as 12303 Poorva via Patna but reaches MGS at 1742 instead of 1937 for 12303, as it distance is lower by 96 kms. Further it has a 20 mn halt at MGS as against a 10 mn halt for 12303 (may be because of loco change at MGS).
In order to standardise their timings on the ALD-NDLS sector , this train is made to waste time by routing it via BSB, Janghai and even after this detour, reaches ALD at 2135 as against 2155 for 12303. It is made to halt at ALD FOR 30 mns so that it departs at the same time as 12303 viz. 2205 and then both trains follow identical times...

Interesting!! most exploited train (excluding Janata Exp.). I still feel IR is doing total injustice with Poorva.
well...im keeping aside the new LHB rake. People may point out this fact!! I am talking about timing.
This train should run via Patna on rest days which will benefit the pax of Madhupur,Jasidih..

I have a better opinion. Run this train daily via DHN-GAYA. There is not a single daily running train for Delhi from Dhanbad whereas Patna has so many trains. Viua DHN-ALD-CNB, Poorva will take less time.
It goes via PNBE as 12303/04 on rest of the days.
I m not saying of Patna,i know Patna has plenty of trains for Delhi but pax of Jasidih and Madhupur suffer the most..
Poorva delivers the same purpose wth HWH Raj via PNBE serves!!

True!! But, it fails to maintain the timeline at NDLS/HWH. It is having very poor arrival history at NDLS and HWH
In fact the 2 Poorvas should be made separate dailies with different time slots and extended to Jaipur and Amritsar respectively.

Actually travellers of Jasidih and Madhupur suffer the most..Only good trains for Delhi r Poorva and Howrah Raj and that too r not daily..Toofan,Lal Quila,Frakka,Janta cant be taken while through chord route,Kalka Mail,WB S Kranti,SDAH Raj,HWH Raj,HWH NDLS Sf r some good trains..
i had written about this so many times, that for identical timing in ALD-NDLS sector 12381 has to suffer for atleast 100 minute.
i think only departure time from originating station should be same, and arrival time at destination should be different

Is it a important station where a train like Poorva is stopping?
There is no halt @ JNH as per TT.
Now updated.Note appeared from nowhere: "w.e.f 15.05.2012 to 14.11.2012 on experimental basis for six months".
But it is 5.6.2013!
Looks like an important place. So many arrivals/departures.

magar 100 baato ki ek baat, aap chahe kitna bo le, agar iss zone ko award mila hai, to usne kuch to accha kiya ho hoga

what about BSB-ALD electrification?if that is done then it will take much less time.also with LHB coaches coming shortly,the train will somewhat regain its lost glory
Everyone thought the same with Sampoorna Kranti too, but what has happened, until the zones are tightened nothing can be done.. Well these trains are capable of regaining their glories with ICF coaches, but the problem is traffic management..
