Guess this one should be continued as Weekend train from SC on Fri using Duronto slot would be fantastic.Can be done even if SC-SHM AC is started.

No point in running specials if you don't/can't give them importance. It is ultimately a source of great discomfort for some unlucky passengers who chose to travel by them.

yes!! Section controllers must give some importance to these special's. turning into a loop, making all the regulars crushing one by one n then sending until the next crusher or trailer is right behind.

It will be good if it reaches VSKP by 10:35AM and make it regular train RSA with SHM-SC and the last make it SF :)

They can regularize it. Its a friday evening train. Earlier they ran it with 11 hrs. Now seems due bus lobby pressure they have more than 13 hrs.

Its running in that silly slot of ned trains and pune bbs.

yaa any ways friday evening train is really a boost. Also as its LHB people may not worry as A icf coacher train, if it gets late by 2-3 hrs also.

ECoR never allows SCR specials on time. surely it gets late by 2-3 hrs.
LHB comfort level is more when compared to ICF..so little advantage.

For 12 hour journey and 2 hrs delay, where does comfort come.

Last time LHB special for Sankaranti arrived at 3 pm , which is scheduled at around 8 am @ VSKP. Now u can understand.

From Saturday till Wednesday, it will lie in vskp yard.
Given a chance, it can be made a run to tpty or mas.

The TT is wrong here. As per SCR press release. It starts friday from SC and Saturday from VSKP.

Godavari takes 12hrs to reach VSKP allocating a dedicated WAP4/7 engine and priority basis of clearance. Being a special its difficult to acheive the same in 11hrs with all the halts provided. There are lot of vacancies of loco pilot and loco avialability shortage, Group C &D staff who are not recuirted for yrs all over India. With all these how can u expect specials to run fast atleast if they are run to schedule without giving way to goods and express trains its a boon to passengers. LHB doesnt mean that passengers can travel for extra hours then scheduled and need not worry. A average passenger doesnt care of its ICF or LHB if it runs on time.

You are completley gone away from topic. Earlier in sankranti time its given 11 hrs, that's what i told. I am very much aware how specials will run in SCR sector.

I have not gone off the topic but its reality in IR with staff crunch working for extra hrs and loco availability how are they going to run specials in the already crowded lines without proper allocation. often there are reports in eenadu that there is just 2 TC for entire train particularly for specials. Vsp-LTT took nearly a yr to stabilise operations after its introduction and used to run 4hrs late every schedule. In shankranthi time it may have given 11hrs but is it possible with all the stoppages?? The travel time given is reasonable. average passenger is general public who commutes and does nt knw much about bogies, design , engine there will be 75% in this category.

I don't know, why do they require a LHB coach for a weekly once SC-SHM AC express. Instead the LHB coach can be used for VSKP duranto and do a rake sharing with SC - LTT duronto. This way VSKP duronto can run 5 days a week....this is just commonsense which railways lack.

They can start SC-SHM Exp and this is going to have RSA with that.

Why you think like that Koush..Its Still possible to Run both SC-VSKP AC Spl & SC-SHM AC Express even if both have RSA even now also...

SC-SHM AC Express is a weekly affair starts from SC on Tue Morning,Reaches SHM on Wed Morning and starts again in Wed evening from SHM to reach SC by Thursday evening 7:00 PM.

Where as SC-VSKP AC Spl starts from SC by Friday Evening and will be back by Sun morning around 10:00 AM.The Rake has plenty of time for maintenance also...

Yep very much possible to have RSA and Run the AC Spl and very good time in between to maintain the rake as well...

I think its 100% confirmed that they will RAC. Apart from this rake SCR not having other.

In 2012 Railway Budget KRMR-TPTY Weekly Was alloted. In Current Budget it was Made Biweekly Train. Still KRMR-TPTY is running as Special Train . Even availability of Rake For KRMR-TPTY still Running as Special. This tells Purely The attitude of South Central Railway
