why the new train introduced in Rail budget will go via TPJ? Again a longer route to NCJ?

This is weekly Superfast train. Now announced is new train not in this route. It will be vis SA, KRR, TPJ, MDU, TEN, NCJ.

The rakes of SBC-ADI is used for this and its tough to make daily due to this reason at present.

if people of NCJ uses Island exp then why they demand for SBC-NCJ via MDU???

island exp goes through a circular route via TVC to ED which is almost 7 hours extra journey compared to via TEN-MDU..

The problem is TVC division, dint interested to make proposal for increasing frequency of this train,if there is a will there is a way but surprising to see 15 years of demand from NCJ,CAPE people goes in vain,still no daily express to SBC via madurai is hard to digest.....

yes..SWR is willing to increase its frequency by seeing the demand for this train..But TVC division is not willing...

Some one like mr.TRB has to ensure the frequent train facilities and adequate facilities for south TN people,otherwise the worry continues for people......

for TEN/CAPE there is no direct daily service to SBC...when ppl demanded for daily service to SBC from NCJ via MDU IR extended the Chalukya exp upto TEN as Tri-Weekly...

we hope for d best,much expected budget in 40 days.........

for cape island express there. remaining only dont have regular

already I mentioned island express goes via circutious route...ppl don prefer much...

yet that is a way. meenakshi express also has circutous route but people still prefer it.

no one will accept it..this train has a very good convinient timings from RMM in its enroute till VM..after that the speed should be increased in both directions.....the speed can be increased..

atleast divert via CGL AJJ RU

no chance @ all for its diversion...i don think it will be diverted..when this train started its initial run it ran via CGL from TPTY & via KPD from MDU..then the up train route also changed via VM-KPD

already there is no frequent train services in vm-kpd line,it wil never happen,dont you want trains to tpty via ML?

patronage of island is very good but for tn people its useless

not like that, meenakshi started from MDU. it would be nice than from RMM.
following very circuitous route. need to speed up and reduce distance. it is not abt ML/CL i never said like that.

To be honest there is no great patronage for this train.. It also has RSA with SBC-ADI express and hence no chance of making it daily until rakes are available. However a small change in schedule can make this train a great hit. Instead of Thursday Departure should be made Friday departure.

SBC NCJ needs separate daily via SA KRR DG MDU TEN

already NCJ people conveyed their inconvienience for the timing of this train..there is a demand for changing its timings(making as ONT) with increasing frequency to daily...

I think MDU / TVC Divns of SR should combined introduce this.. SWR i dont think has enough rakes at the moment to run a ONT to NCJ.

Selva.. This is just a bonus train from SWR for TN. So if something new has to be introduced it will be from SR only..

yes now SR has alternative route to SBC via KRR-Namakkal-SBC..so it can introduce...

On thursdays Chalukya also runs. So people till TEN will prefer Chalukya and then 16537. On thursday Chalukya should run to PDY and on wed it should run to TEN.
16357 timings should be altered. Why not on Wed with YPR-KCVL SLOT
ie 21:00 dep at YPR

the slot of Chalukya was changed from the proposed days of run from TEN & PDY..so now again its impossible to change the departure days of chalukya..

Due to days of service pramodh sir.....if it's frequency increased then it will get gud patronage,also chendur express had not patronized in CL when it was ran as weekly after diversion to ML frequency increases now chendur becomes most demanded train......

As i said earlier there is a shortage of rakes Krish for SWR also.. So its tuff to increase frequency.. However the best possible way is to change the day of running..

ya now agree with you pramodh sir......RB should consider increasing the coaches for most demanded trains otherwise people will suffer a lot particularly with heavy private bus lobbies.....

Then what abt the empty VM-KPD route? this section is still not utilized well also no single daily trains running in this section even budget announced pass trains is still not introduced,does the people accept if SR under utilize vm-kpd line?more than 200 crores will be wasted if the diversion happens,also important towns like trk,temple town tnm has lot of pilgrims will be affected by diversion,still pdy-hwh is running as a stranger in vm-kpd line......SR has planning to divert mdu-ltt weekly via this line,we have to know the importance......

i know brother. but VM TPTY time taken is less than via CGL than via KPD.
balaji express can be diverted via KPD. let this via CGL since it follows a long and slow route in en route

via VPT KKDI TJ MV VM KPD

SCT is nearer than RMM to tpty? more or less it will also take "circuitious route" bro,then this new train also take circuitious route only shall we ask for diversion?may be intro of new train from SCT-TPTY via DG,KRR,SA,KPD will be better option....

RMM to MV is different from SCT MV. ur route is excellent. best diversion route for meenakshi express i originally felt

SA-KRR rout will handle most of south trains to north east,north west in future but thats different scenario now after 2 years of inauguration no daily trains and no pass trains running in vm-kpd line,we have to think abt wastage of important line,now one by one got introduced via vm-kpd line but still not two pairs of passengers,think bro 3 new lines are ready as of now this railway budget give the proper answers to these lines? or simply by under utilizing as vm-kpd line? first of all we have to ensure frequent train facilities in existing lines,after that we think abt new lines,even Main line has yet to be utilized by SR......

VM KPD. has few purpose dont worry. all PDY bound trains need that route unfortunately

ML has not wasted ya ok but still not restored completely by not introducing TJ-MS,TN-MS janatha exp,increasing frequency of Mahal exp,no direct connection to mumbai,delhi,kolkata,shortage of trains to chennai,people from TJ,KMU,MV struggling in PQWL........

i dont agree with ur point of diverting Meenakshi exp...the current route is good as it connects Tiruvanamalai with MDU & RMM..

the shortest path is from VM is via VRI-TPJ-KKDI-MNM to RMM..total distance is 444 km.../search/785/0/1507 see this except sethu remaining train's avg speed is 43 km/hr...if the speed is increased to 50+ then the time taken will be reduced by 2 hrs for all trains...

now try VM TPTY

agree VM-TPTY shortest route is via CGL-RU..even then the speed of all trains from/to TPTY is just 38-40 km/hr..the difference is just 20km circutious via KPD

balaji express takes 6 hrs. pamani takes 6 hrs 40mins. meenakshi taking 7hrs 40 mins. hence this only proof.

but see the avg speed for all those trains...!!! in IR most of the trains run in longer route than the available shortest route..this is because IR needs to connect all destinations in its enroute..(not only connecting end to end)..

ya, but RMM TPTY is not that much long train. just ONT enough. agree CAPE DBRG vivek express follows a longer path than shortest. same thing for himsagar like that. but here the distance is small. so shortest path helps to separate tourist from regular commutators on the enroute

agree..but one thing we need to remember always..getting a single train is very very very difficult for us...so we need to be satisfied with what we got rather than demanding for diversion..let it run in its way...

after KKDI TVR opened we have to demand a seperate train RMM TPTY via KKDI TVR MV VM KPD.
TPJ TPTY FP also need to clear the rush. these 2 r to clear the rush of ML alone. for CL TEN TPTY is needed.

already KKDI demanding TPTY-RMM via KKDI & MYS-RMM via KKDI & CBE-RMM via KKDI....
dono whether IR will introduce another train to RMM from TPTY via KKDI in future as it already having one train..

TPTY RMM via KKDI timing will be decreased, distance too. but that will not be nice.
reason: TPTY RMM is a extension of MDU TPTY MG version
it has the name meenakshi too which means MDU

considering to CBE RMM stretch, better version is except a ONT, all trains can have the route CBE podanur PLNI DG MDU RMM

agree..CBE-PLNI-MDU-RMM will be shorter route..then what about ONT for KKDI/Sivaganga/Devekottai to CBE???

one more thing i want to share is that MDU-TPTY was initially RMM-MDU-TPTY in 90's...then later became MDU-TPTY...now again RMM-MDU-TPTY

These are slack and limited MPS of vm-kpd line,if electrification work finishes all trains will reach earlier than AJJ-CGL route.....VM-CGL is heavily congested as of now no single train cant be introduced due to single line,it;s not dedicated line to TPTY....

impossible to get another RMM-TPTY train,may be meenakshi exp will be made daily and same route only it will follow....

even when RMM-OKHA extended to RMM the train used to depart @ 7.30pm and arrives MDU @ 11.55pm whick took 4.30 hrs from RMM to MDU in express..later speed increased in this section..like-wise VM-KPD will happen..

Another train to RMM is impossible as already meenakshi is doing a great job if increasing frequency will boost the people also first train to run daily in VM-KPD line.....

great..if electric loco is used then surely speed will increase in this section & im sure travelling time of meenakshi will be around 15.30 hrs with an avg speed of 52km/hr...
