Rake composition:
Loco: KJM WDP4 on entire journey.
Nagercoil to Erode: Loco,SLR,Gen,B1,B2,A1,A2,PC,S1-S11,Gen,Gen,SLR
Loco Reversal at Erode.
It took HSRA->BAND->HEB->LOGH->YPR->MWM->SBC route to reach SBC and reached SBC on time.

Why is this train started too late from SBC and reaches NCJ late by 14:00?
Both 16526 & 16537 are of no use to NCJ people as both reaches late by 17:25 & 14:00 respectively.
Also why the new train introduced in Rail budget will go via TPJ? Again a longer route to NCJ?

it is a very nice nd convenient train. traveld in it from bangalore to karur with my family...we were supposed to go to trichy, the train left frm bangalore late by half an hour 11.30pm bt still reachd karur by 6.35pm, luckily there ws a connecting demu to trichy by 6.50am, got down at karur nd purchasd d tickt to trichy nd rechd my destination by 9am...A vry nice journey.....

The problem is TVC division, dint interested to make proposal for increasing frequency of this train,if there is a will there is a way but surprising to see 15 years of demand from NCJ,CAPE people goes in vain,still no daily express to SBC via madurai is hard to digest.....

ncj.jpgTo be honest there is no great patronage for this train.. It also has RSA with SBC-ADI express and hence no chance of making it daily until rakes are available. However a small change in schedule can make this train a great hit. Instead of Thursday Departure should be made Friday departure.

On thursdays Chalukya also runs. So people till TEN will prefer Chalukya and then 16537. On thursday Chalukya should run to PDY and on wed it should run to TEN.
16357 timings should be altered. Why not on Wed with YPR-KCVL SLOT

Due to days of service pramodh sir.....if it's frequency increased then it will get gud patronage,also chendur express had not patronized in CL when it was ran as weekly after diversion to ML frequency increases now chendur becomes most demanded train......

Then what abt the empty VM-KPD route? this section is still not utilized well also no single daily trains running in this section even budget announced pass trains is still not introduced,does the people accept if SR under utilize vm-kpd line?more than 200 crores will be wasted if the diversion happens,also important towns like trk,temple town tnm has lot of pilgrims will be affected by diversion,still pdy-hwh is running as a stranger in vm-kpd line......SR has planning to divert mdu-ltt weekly via this line,we have to know the importance......

SA-KRR rout will handle most of south trains to north east,north west in future but thats different scenario now after 2 years of inauguration no daily trains and no pass trains running in vm-kpd line,we have to think abt wastage of important line,now one by one got introduced via vm-kpd line but still not two pairs of passengers,think bro 3 new lines are ready as of now this railway budget give the proper answers to these lines? or simply by under utilizing as vm-kpd line? first of all we have to ensure frequent train facilities in existing lines,after that we think abt new lines,even Main line has yet to be utilized by SR......

the shortest path is from VM is via VRI-TPJ-KKDI-MNM to RMM..total distance is 444 km.../search/785/0/1507 see this except sethu remaining train's avg speed is 43 km/hr...if the speed is increased to 50+ then the time taken will be reduced by 2 hrs for all trains...

but see the avg speed for all those trains...!!! in IR most of the trains run in longer route than the available shortest route..this is because IR needs to connect all destinations in its enroute..(not only connecting end to end)..

ya, but RMM TPTY is not that much long train. just ONT enough. agree CAPE DBRG vivek express follows a longer path than shortest. same thing for himsagar like that. but here the distance is small. so shortest path helps to separate tourist from regular commutators on the enroute

These are slack and limited MPS of vm-kpd line,if electrification work finishes all trains will reach earlier than AJJ-CGL route.....VM-CGL is heavily congested as of now no single train cant be introduced due to single line,it;s not dedicated line to TPTY....
