The 3 words which even now bring a sweat down my forehead are, ‘Karnataka Sampark Kranti’; As soon as I hear those words, in a rapid flashback, my mind travels back to July 19, 2013. I was headed to Delhi for a year’s coaching for competitive exams. Though the waitlisted tickets were booked barely 10days back, they got confirmed on the morning of travel day, in 3 AC that too, which I assumed was slightly difficult. What I didn’t realize at that point was that the Journey was never going to happen. July in Delhi meant hot summer coming to an end, but in Bangalore, the dark clouds began meandering overhead and made their presence felt every now and then. Satavahana Express is stuck at station of MABD due technical glitch in loco..Another loco is being arranged as replacement..Train is delayed and traffic is also affected.

My Tribute to Bangalore Rajdhani on completing 23years of Commercial Service.
A Tribute Compilation coinciding with the Bangalore Rajdhani's Birthday, the train completed 23years of commercial service on 01/11/2015.
Special thanks to my friends Dheeraj Rao and Santhosh Kumar N for having lent me their pics to put together this compilation, and also to die-hard Bangalore Rajdhani Fan Prithvi Raj for having given me the thumbnail.
This Journey was undertaken by me in July 2013, when a portion of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh Rail Network, especially the GT line was badly affected by the rains. We departed from Bangalore led by KZJ WDM3A 18897, and reached Secunderabad 30mins late the next day. The rains were lashing out in Hyderabad city
Thanks for rewinding about the birthday. When started about 23 years back it was a weekly with one night journey from SBC, leaving SBC around 10.30 am.Now it runs 4 days as 22691/92. My desire is that 22691/92 should run 7 days via RC and SEM as it will cover more area in Karnataka and helps the people of HK region of our state
A few months I heard a word that once RC route is electrified, link will be changed to e loco end to end, and 22691/92 will be made daily :)
Hope that will happen at the earliest
Shatabdhi express between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada.
They are toying with increasing unnecessary hopes.
As far as zone is concerned they will make it into a power play I am sure by the end of this 5year period in last midterm budget,they will announce zone . At that time it will zone calling zone, we will have wait for another 3years may be from here on.
The same is happened and happening with GR div.
Before election RM announced gr division, still the division is in papers, it has not come out of CR.
Friends, is this train reliable to connect GT timing from WL ? Planning to board GT from WL however, I am confused if 12714 gets delayed more than an hour from SC to WL. Suggestions please.
