Pls update the coach composition as this (12013) & its return service (12014) is now running with additional AC coach i.e C14.
WR's Mumbai Rajdhani and Paschim Super Deluxe stand parallel at New Delhi on platform nos. 3 and 5 respectively while Amritsar Shatabdi too awaits for it's departure from platform no.1

All daily Shatabdi get managed by Spare Rake for weekly Maintenance Break!!
It covers bth ASR/Kalka Shatabdi also!!
Only Kathgodam, CNB & CDG Shatabdi do have Dedicated Rake!!
NDLS Based shatabdi has RSA between each other :P
No..its nt this way!! Thy dnt hav RSA in themselves bt Spare Rake do run as each one, each weekly break day for them!!
Say a Rake exist..spare!! Hypothetical Scenario in whch Spare get utilized:
Mo as BPL, Tu as LKO, We as AII, Th as DDN, Fr as ASR, Sa as KLK & Su break for Spare Rake!!

according to ICMS, there are 6 rakes for above mentioned 5 trains and these is irregular swapping of rakes for maintenance
What you have pointed is the ideal way to do it.But most definitely, there will be delays in the maintenance and some cases, irregular maintenance and problems in procuring spares for repairs etc, because of which most probably there will be an irregular RSA (with no particular schedule) between all of them.
When 6 Rake exist for 5 daily & same day return pair..its simply scheduled weekly maintenance break..as for Shatabdi Rake, the delay only happens in winter & thn too the ongoing/return Rake remain running late (nt getting any haphazard RSA even thn)!!
To keep it simple, weekly schedule must get followed, as it seems perfect mode..cz just imagine..as it is will b how mch cumbersome along with diff Rake sizes & CC!!
If u recount, LKO/ASR Shatabdi use to run @ fix day as ICF Rake every week (although i dnt remember the
Loco realignment at Jalandhar City..as Shatabdi is following diverted route from Beas to Tarn Taran and then to Amritsar.
Nice photos... I've seen AC trains like Shatabdis and Garib Raths packed with passengers at JUC/LDH. Even the AC Coaches on Amritsar/Jammu bound trains from Calcutta go into Waiting List. It's about time that IR launches a Fully AC SF Train from Howrah to Amritsar and/or Jammu via Dhanbad - Gaya so that the AC Pax load from the existing trains comes down... Gee ;-D

Yes you are right, if seat not available in train then this ticket will be invalid and you will be treat as a ticket-less passenger and you need to pay with penalty
