Today a strange thing happened. Now i'm traveling in a local Spe-Msb from Tada. This trains actual arrival time at Tada is 07:37 am. I went to the station at around 07:30. In Queue my number was around 35. In Tada Station Master only issues Tickets. Everybody was shouting on SM that plz issue tickets fast. The Station Attendant is Ringing Bell which is Alarm to us. Again I counted now it was 26. My Heart was Pumping Blood hard to my Veins. Then after a couple of Mins the Main Moment came. The Horn of Emu was Awesome to hear but not at that time. I was just thinking that I lost this Train. last weak also same thing happened SM stops issuing tickets coz train was Blocked. Now again I counted the number and it was 18. Nobody was behind me all are running to catch...

the train without Tickets. I stood there as I know that I don't have any chance. At that time SM assured us that he is not going to give Signal until the Last person boards the Train.

I feel in this case, it was SM's mistake (or probably he was busy with his own work apart from issuing tickets) that he could not issue tickets before and hence he assured that everyone boarded the train.

if it is so, still the passengers on board are at loss...
no offence to amjad bhai by any means, but suppose another scenario...generally passengers turn up at the last moment to board a train and just at the time of departure 10-15 passengers get into a queue for getting the ticket...this is not station master's fault,but still the train may get delayed...

AMSA (on SBC-ASK stretch) is having compterized facility and couple of times i have observed SM issuing tickets earlier and scene will be similar like Amjab bhai narrated. Of late a guy has been posted to issue tickets there.

i have seen sometimes like this in ubl and bgm too..sometimes they purposly delay train 16589/16590 as more demand and more people travel for this and and after all tickets are issued signal given

In one way, station staff can show income, whether passenger boards a train comfortably or not is the matter to be thought.

I'm very glad to say that I was the last one who boarded this train. Station Master was observing everyone's face's and all are pretty much worried. Coz if we lost this train the other train was a Passenger and it was after an hour. It will reach you Chennai at noon only. The last moment came for me I was the last one and sweat was all over my face. Then he issued ticket and said don't run I will stop the train until you board it. After hearing those words from SM. I just forget them and running towards the over Bridge and atlast boarded the train. After boarding I waved my hand towards SM then train began to move. Train was late for 15 mins and the time is covered by the Emu Pilot.

I agree with you. One permanent staff for issuing ticket will be posted if number of trains are more. Like i mentioned in one of my comments at AMSA, 6 pair of trains stop where as 30-40 pass by. Hence station staff are managing ticket issuing part is what i feel.

yes this happens sms use their power and satisfy passengers and request the controller and driver to manage time,,when you verify records it wl be written arrived departed at specified/scheeduled times.in eluru (EE) station also when we were with mrg party the SM personally supervised till all board the compartments and then only exchanged signal..one more incident when i was sick and carried by wheel chail the sm/signal attendant and tte stopped train more time till i was lifted into my coach (during mid night)
after all they are also human beings and devoting their life for public
i always appreciate rly employees for their odd and hard work and devotion

In this workload if any thing wrong happens then the SM will be blamed. So SM should look after the passing by trains.

The very same thing happened in the morning. After hearing horn of that Emu most of the passengers run towards the platform without tickets. Now attendant of station who waves flags to trains came near us and stopped other people to enter into Queue.

I agree with your comment. Again IR may say posting a person for issuing tickets may not be worth as few trains stop there.

then selling ticket in such stations can be done though any Pvt party on commission basis as done in passenger halts.

PVt party on commission basis is employed in halt stations. Not in stations where there is SM and station staff too.

I Agree with you Sir. In some emergency moments this will happen in any station. I think this thing of issuing tickets I saw today only and I think it is possible for small stations only. After boarding the train all are praising this SM and some are saying that whichever station is he give preference to passengers.

I agree with you Ashok ji Tada is having a total 28 Emu and passenger trains halt. As you know this station is busy one coz it is on the Mas-Gdr line. I can see for every 10 or mins a train passes through Tada. In this way it makes hell for SM's duty. A dedicated staff should be appointed to these type of stations. Specially in peak hours there should be two windows for ticket issuing. This Nellore menu makes hell at Tada when it arrives from Mas. 8 years back only it was earning average 1 lack per trip with a fare of 21rs from Tada to Nellore whereas in Bus it was 45rs. Now the ticket between Tada and Nellore is 17rs and bus fare is 105. Sir you can imagine the rush with these type of fare difference.
