There are 21 pairs of Rajdhani Trains running at present.
After the introduction of Duronto trains in 2010 by the then Rail Minister, Mamata Banerjee, everyone thought that this train would lose its priority.
But honestly saying and asking, that these trains have been able to keep pace with the Duronto and Premium Trains.
Moreover, a #Duronto train is a second option for a passenger, #Rajdhani train at first.
Very few Duronto trains are able to run with great popularity like Mumbai Duronto, Howrah Duronto, Allahabad Duronto, Chennai Duronto.

durontos with convenient timings are popular.For example nagpur duronot save around 3 hour compared to vidarbha and has convenient arrival timings at both ends
On the other hand indb bullock cart duronto is faster than avantika by just 1.5 hours but has pathetic timings both ways no wonder it is the last choice of majority of travellers and i don't buy the argument that indb bct is not suitable for al AC train daily 7-8 volvos and 10-15 AC sleeper buses are operating bw indore mumbai.
Thanks to duronto cities like indore got a rajdhani kind of trains which other wise they would not have got
U must be kidding....only for delhi dere are 4 trains daily(mail gomti ac shatabdi)...and on fri sun 5...oder dan ndls..RB does nt even care about LKO pax's demands..heavy demand to hwh patna ghy ranchi (not even a single train to ranchi) bhubaneswar(neelanchal is only train tri weekly) south cities(mas(a single biweekly) YPR(2 WEEKLY trains) bza pune(two weekly) mumbai(just one train daily pushpak) Ahmedabad) where demand is on daily basis..
There are 4 daily trains to delhi - mail, ac, ic and shatabdi.

with my statement.....i meant its blessed than other cities of India...... one of the nicely connecyed stations of UP...
i think just after Gorakhpur or just after Varanasi too.
Every region demands for the train they like or they travel by.....
i am actually amazed that not a single regular train has been introduced as was promised in the rail budget
i think that if Lucknow has even a single/double train to the cities u demanded for....... its enough

Awesome snaps... after the MGS-SLN-SRE Route's electrification, the ADI-JP-NDLS Route is next on the target of CORE. Many Railfans don't like the idea of electric locos replacing diesels in this desert route (Although I feel that the diesel smoke should be vanished from the already hot desert areas)... :-)
