As this train depends on tj,tpj for decent patronage, it has to have gud tt at these stations... but late dep frm mq will giv extra connection btwn tj-tpj at late night and it wil be the king of track until ed where there was no traffic supposes...
then my TT will be work out till TPJ as buses near 12pm rushes due to early arrival at singanallur
i don think 23:45 @ TJ is not a bad TT....

but the train should reach TPJ after 00:30 hours only,then only it can reach CBE between 5.30 am to 6am....so TPJ will have odd timings...

but getting direct train to CBE from TPJ is tough as CBE-MQ and CBE-RMM will run via TPJ....

fine fine :) :)....but in return from CBE it will have comfort TT to TPJ...but towards CBE is the question.....also for good patronage some connecting trains can be operated from CDM/KIK...

yes Krish...so in future trains will get extended to KKDI/PKT..if that happens then the trains now running to MQ will get good patronage and it will become difficult to get ticket in those trains...

I am unable to book from KIK to TJ or TPJ in this train, its showing its as NOT AVAILABLE for seats, though train is running with atleast 50-100 empty seats till Thanjavur/Trichy. Passangers would have booked from Thanjavur/Trichy to CBE/ERS, so those tickets goes empty from KIK to TJ/TPJ.
From KIK, next possible destination you can choose is Trichy fort(TP). It may be because earlier this train used start from TPJ, so now after extending to KIK, too they were not changing the destination till TCR/TJ/TPJ.
Please let me know whether its possible for the official to change this problem.

Distance restriction applies there between KIK-TJ,so not possible to book reserved tickets...
Thanks for your reply, but is this not possible in this train or few trains like this? though the distance is more than 80kms and since its a night train, is it not possible to give sleeper tickets?

it applies for all trains,for example i have tried to book from Mayiladuthurai-cuddalore port Jn, for pamani exp it shows not available....

I am planning to go to Palani.If I take 16866 to PGT/CBE from where will I get a better bus connectivity to Palani.
CBE is the better option to take bus to PLNI
I feel taking direct bus from Ernakulam to Palani via Munnar will be the fastest option
But considering that 16866 reaches CBE at 03:00 hrs will I get a bus at that time??
But sir I am not looking for a too long bus journey.
Tea garden reaches CBE at too odd time-try for Erode-Erode-Darapuram-Palani is the route and will take about 3 hours
Buses to PALANI starts from UKKADAM bus stand , CBE early morning itself. Every 10 min there is a bus. Almost round the clock buses available to PALANI from CBE. Ukkadam bus stand is just 2 KM from CBE Rly station. Just in front of RLY station night service buses available to UKKADAM Bus stand.

erode will be much better option for you to alight from erode more bus connectivity to palani is available.....
better take bus from PGT or CBE. plenty of busses to palani. (board dindukal bus )
