Yes, because of the following reasons:

22105 CSTM-PUNE Indrayani Express which arrives at PUNE goes to SUR as 12169 PUNE-SUR SF Intercity in just 20 mins. Hence no time for loco change.
Same for Return journey, 12170 which comes to PUNE from SUR goes to CSTM as 22106 Indrayani Express in about 20 min.

2Days back i had a trip scheduled to pune in indrayani SF.. this was my maiden trip to pune.. i was not aware of anything.. and had to be there on some official work to MIT, PUNE.. so one of my friend contacted Mr. Chawate frm this site and told me abt some things due to which i could make my journey easy and comfortable.. and it was as easy as directed by Mr. Chawate.. So Mr. Chawate though i don't know u, MANY MANY THANKS TO YOU.. If u wouldn't have helped me then this trip would have been a total blunder.. also i didn knew abt this site earlier, now that know abt it, it makes so proud feeling that there are still people who are willing to help without even knowing the person.. The train left Thane @ right time... but reached KYN more than 2 hrs late..

Instead of running as two separate trains between Cstm and Solapur(CSTM-PUne & Pune -Solapur) , it would be better if it made to run a single train between CSTM and Solapur with few more coaches
how would it help? or make a difference?
1.People from CStM and solapur would get direct tain either way for their destinations.

i am still amazed about the loco link it gets....WDM-3D from Erode........why a loco so far from its home shed ...also in case of DR-MAO janshatabdi which also gets WDM-3D of Erode ......why is this so ?
Even now for return train 12170/22106 people travel from SUR upto Mumbai...
A mystery!! There are two DLS KYN and PUNE in the route from CSTM-SUR, why ED? :O
and do they procure one ticket for SUR -CSTM ??
Sometimes the train gets WDM 3 of KYN but then that is considered as #offlink :)...
I've travelled by 12169. A lady in front of me had come all the way from CSTM going to SUR. She was seated in the same place, which suggests same seats for both trains.

Interesting... is there any other day train in India from A (like SUR) to C (like CSTM) via B ( like Pune) which changes train name/numbers?
Ek hi hai, Only the MST coaches are active in PUNE-CSTM section...

I feel here it is the case of RSA of SUR-PUNE train with PUNE-CSTM train right....good number of cases like this may be there...
Technically its just not possible in those coaches where there is provision of seat bookings or advance reservations.
I know there is nothing wrong. But I am wondering about passengers who DO NOT change their seats and coaches who are booked from CSTM-SUR.
Ofcourse since numbers are different its not possible in case of Reserved coaches, Separate reservations are needed, But for UR passengers it is possible...

but in reservation ticket its a twin ticket. its written SUR-KYN via PUNE...

worst part about this train wen it comes frm MUMBAI to PUNE.. is it gets Flooded @ Shivaji Nagar... the SUR crowd boards the train there for occupying vacant seats..
