Just returned from PRR. This train is getting wasted at PRR. I was expecting huge rush in this train but as the train was shunted at pf. no.4, it was like people are boarding a passenger train. Very few pax from PRR in this train. A train connecting South and Vellore was getting such a moderate response. I was the first person to get inside S4 coach and had opened 10 windows because there was no light coming inside the coach. For almost 10 minutes, we were just 3 persons in the entire coach then few passengers started coming on the seats. I checked the chart, Only 18 passengers from PRR in the list and rest from ADRA, BQA, VSU. SL coaches were better occupied than 6 general coaches with so few passengers that you could count. Even Kamakhya LTT Karmabhoomi comes full empty from KYQ...only passengers board starting from MLDT & till HWH train is packed...not always pax need to board from Origin only...otherwise it would have been named as Duronto.

Because there are better trains than Karmabhoomi for Mumbai with reserved coaches. PRR-VM EXP needs extension of just 61 kms upto BKSC. Just check the availability status for 13351/52, its so difficult to get seat in this half train.

I fully agree on ur view that Bokaro steel City needs dedicated connection to South....in fact if i was made the RM,I would start BKSC-SBC(3 days),BKSC-KCVL(2 Days) & BKSC-PDY(via MS)(2 days) because this region of SER is really neglected...But please dont ask to merge BKSC with ECR instead of SER..reason you know DHN & GAYA transferred from ER-ECR..but did it help the passengers...??? neither it helped the operation also.

No one is asking to merge BKSC in ECR. But there is a demand of people to merge it in RNC division of SER.
I think DHN-SBC EXP, DHN-KCVL EXP, DHN-PDY EXP would be better than BKSC because we are not selfish and the 3 big cities of Jharkhand DHN, BKSC and RNC will benefit from a single train. For now, PRR-VM EXP upto BKSC is needed because its really difficult to wake up and catch BKSC-ASN MEMU at 03.40 for PRR.

Boss I think you know the political reason behind starting PRR VM Exp...Mamata Banerjee actually wanted to offer something to the Maoist affected JangalMahal in W.B. otherwise I never expected a 2000 Odd km train to originate from PRR..In fact NJP(Siliguri) got a dedicated train for Chennai along with Purulia which is quite surprising considering the importance.

But now Mamata gone. So, IR should think about extending it. I still remember that 12801/02 Purushottam Express was diverted via BKSC-GMO during NDA government. Now, its time for more trains. But Congress is not serious about Jharkhand. It was clear after Rail Budget 2013-14.

12801 did not come to bokaro because of kind nature of SER or ECoR,it was frequent blockage/squatting on tracks by people of BKSC at GMO that forced authorities. Else 2875 was sole train for NDLS that time. As long as BKSC stays with ADRA it will not have any future. no express connectivity with TATA for ages is a prime example.
But how can the train be extended to Asansol from Purulia?Its not that BKSC do not have the required infrastructure and manpower to maintain the train because earlier 13351/13352 DHN ALLP EXP was originating fom BKSC and later was extended to DHN.
For connection to TATA from BKSC,Lalmati Express should be extended till BKSC and the frequency should be increased from 2 days to daily....that will serve twin purpose of connecting BKSC to TATA and HWH.
13351/52 got extended to DHN precisely for reasons of lack of manpower and infrastructure.BKSC has coach position indicators on all platforms but no manpower to operate it. It only because ADRA is milking it for revenues and in return BKSC does not get anything.ADRA division gets over 65% of revenues from BKSC.

Yes. People should not forget that 12019/20 Shatabdi Express and 13351/52 Dhanbad-Allepy Express used to originate from BKSC before extension. BTW visit Purulia and see that there is no infrastructure and manpower to maintain the train. I walked on the tracks and reached outer of PRR but di not find the rake of PRR-VM EXP parked. I think it was standing at the next station because of lack of washing pit line.

to the person who is dreaming of Gaya/Dhanbad in ER, And BKSC/TATA/RNC in South Eastern Railway is laughable. Look at geography and see where there stations are situated.
Also why does 18628 runs on time till DHN/ASN,after that it gets detained at every station for no reason and looses its punctuality. Step-motherly treatment by ER.

DHN-RNC section is slow section everyone knows....& talking about punctuality,ECR is the worst division in IR in terms of punctuality....why trains take 4 Hrs to reach MGS from MZP that too almost regularly...??? Look at Farakka Barrage over ER..the best Road-cum-Rail bridge over Ganges...55 kmph speed restriction only....& see Rajendrapool 10 kmph PSR..that explains that ECR is doing nothing to even maintain the bridge...forget about new bridge....Farakka to Malda Town(35 km) is 33 mts train journey whereas Mokameh to Barauni(21 km) is 1 hr 15 mts train journey...& you say DHN GAYA to remain in ECR instead of transferring to ER..????

With the present rakes available , I think extension upto KCVL is not possible. This side, BKSC is the best terminal and on the other side Puducherry will be ideal but do not know whether PDY extension its feasible or not. As far as BKSC extension is concerned , I am 100% sure about its feasibility.

IR please extend this train upto BKSC as soon as possible. I just booked 2 tickets for my friends from PRR to CTC in this train. Purushottam Express has no room and IR has not given CK quota seats between BKSC and CTC. All trains are running full, Tapaswini, Nandan Kanan, etc. But, surprisingly this was the only train in which we got 6 vacant berths in general quota for SL class. I booked it. But, we will have to board BKSC-ASN MEMU at 03.40 to reach PRR at 06.00. BKSC pax benefiting PRR. This will reduce load from Purushottam and Dhanbad-Allepy Express.
Yes Agreed Sunil, once I had to Go to tata an had took a Taxi Rs 400 from BKSC to PRR Station to catch Subarnarekha Exp, there are not much trains from bksc to PRR in the morning time

No change in route Aditya. Extension upto BKSC is required and not diversion to give Tata one more train. KGP-VM EXP is better to be extended upto TATA but Kolkata pax dominate TATA pax for this train.

Well, BKSC-TATA connectivity is just worst. Two steel cities with lots of commuters but no Intercity type train. Just a DHN-JGM MEMU without toilets causing inconvenience to ladies plus too much crowded.
DHN-TATA Swarn Rekha should be diverted via CRP-BKSC-PRR to facilitate BKSC pax and avoid reversal at Patherdih plus diesel loco. Then it will connect Coal city-Dhanbad, Thermal city-Chandrapura, Steel City-Bokaro and another Steel City-Jamshedpur.

Passengers will not get to face monsters at the railway station. Many trains arrive BKSC and other stations in midnight. Its not a big issue.
