Member of Parliament requested to Rail minister Mr prabhu for commencement of new BG rail line from singrauli end also ( Lalitpur - singrauli Rail line ) .Also 2 new Trains 1 each for Delhi and Bhopal , and providing of halt at Niwas Road ststion of bhopal -howrah express and shaktipunj express .

Everything is ok , but i am just amazed to see that there is still a political background for demanding stoppages especially for trains which already have a hell of stops.
Saving non-renewable Fossil Fuels like Diesel should be IR's top most priority!
Running Diesel train, especially the 'Jurassic aged' ALCO's on fully electrified tracks makes no sense!
The HWH-BPL Weekly can easily run upto DHN/BRKA with a electric locomotive and then change over to Diesel!
Similar case can be said of the RNC-DMKA intercity! The Diesel loco can be attached at DHN/JSME!
1> A diesel loco burns a whole lot fuel while hauling than while idling! I completely disagree with your point that a diesel loco can't be a issue, when the train is traveling over such a long distance with a ALCO,don't ignore the return is done with the same locomotive . If Shaktipunj can get over a loco change BRKA, then what is the problem with this train????
2> For RNC-DUMK intercity, I understood that availability of D/E-Locos at JSME is an issue, hence the changeover pont was proposed at DHN! The LC at JSME would take a whole longer than a simple LR, hence the LC can be done at DHN. Atleast the half-journey can be covered in E-Loco. That saves

Electricity is generated by thermal as a well as hydel means. 70% by thermal and 30% by hydel and other means. Beside the generation of electricity by renewable resources like Wind & Solar, though now miniscule, but are increasing at a very steadfast pace.......Nuclear power stations are also available.......You talk of Coal, with present usage rates coal reserves will still last 200 years! Electricity is nowwhere the problem. Your excuse that, because IR has a premium rate to pay-off for the electricity it consumes, they are free to run diesel locos on electrified tracks is totally illogical!
3.6 vs 5 litre: Even idle..its consuming 3.6 Litres..hw mch Unit Electric idle loco consumes?? 0

Further, u need to account:
1. Energy lost while producing thermal Electricity..into heat/radiation along with Combustion energy lost..Isnt Coal also fossil?? What about Diesel run thermal plants??
Sir that is precisely the point that I am trying to make, Diesel should be saved wherever possible!
Coal though a fossil fuel is still in much more amount than Diesel, and so isn't in as much danger of being completely exhausted...unlike diesel!
3.6 l per hour vs 5km/l during a normal run, a normal run usually means 60 kms, so that adds fuel consumption of 300 litres normally.
That is a whole lot of difference.
No: roughly 84 Litres extra!! cz 3.6 was already getting wasted!!
Cost wise..IR intake Diesel is cheap while Elec is Premium...for that 60 Odd Kms..can u tell hw mch Electric run cost would b?? Cz u need to keep awaiting E-Loco live (nt dead) & for same 60 Kms...hw mch??

That 3.6 is used while idling, not during normal running!
Again you misinterpret my response, I said of reducing diesel use, but did I ever mention of using up off more coal?????
I already mentioned of increasing up use of renewable resources to generate electricity, you even forgot that Hydel generates substantial power as well..............

but yeah... I checked on the maps... Its not Junction. Only one track passes through this station!

One line goes to Sarnadih also..which is not highlighted in atlas....that is why its a junction...

Erstwhile it would have had a line joining to some near by places.
Same case for Coimbatore, In Station board you can find it as CBE junction but no lines join there. The reason is it had a line to irugur from CBE some 4 decades back , later the line was altered as Irugur to Podanur but still the juction tag remains
