From YPR - KCG, there is no waiting list or RAC in this train. It, has to be "available" or "not available". The total number of available in this quota in SL class are 144 (S5 & S6) not the whole train. #Admn, would you be able to update suitable quota accordingly. At present it's showing as GNWL which is wrong.

The surprising fact is that, the people sitting in enquiry counter at YPR PF#1 and the on board TTEs did not know this fact about 6 months back. They advised me to book tickets in WL no matter what number it is and it shall get confirmed. I have to explain them on how it works with this train. Where in the WL is actually not present. Its applicable if you are booking tickets from YPR to KZJ and onwards only.

Just FYI to the concerned.... There is no WL quota for this train from YPR to KCG... Technically, if the quota is full it will show as not available. If someone cancels the ticket, you will see Available 1. The KCG quota for SL class is whole of S5 and S6. You should keep watching IRCTC , if you are planning for a last minute hourney. 100% chance that you would get 1 or 2 seats available on the day of travel or the before. This is how we travel every week. If you still don't want to take a chance, Book the ticket from YPR to KZJ, there is W/L quota avaialable. Just book it no matter how much W/L it is... you would get you ticket confirmed. Usually the GNWL quota is too high for the case of this train which on no day gets filled. All...

No logics. Its just doesn;t halt.
I mean it has one way stop at ynk jn, krb-ypr stops. Bt ypr-krb doesnt stop i wnt gud answr 4rm my seniors
This happens with many SF trains they have stop only in one way basically seen in case of stations in city suburbs.While returning its given since people can alight from there and disperse to home.Also stop at Yelahanka would in midnight many won't prefer it so that also adds to it.

Yes. YPR-KRB doesn't stop YNK. Railway authorities did it for the lack of passengers at YNK for YPR-KRB. There are some other trains like this. One of them is Sri Jagannath Express. From HWH to PURI, it doesn't stop at SRC, but, on its return journey, it stops at SRC.
It's because of the very odd timing around 12 midnight due to which it won't be useful for many passengers at YNK. Except for very few like you and me....
