We all know how much rush this train carries but SER are not able to add more coaches due to 4 slip coaches operated by SCR from KCG to VSG and SCR's proposal for dedicated train rejected by SWR citing Ghat constraints. Anyways but considering the fact that train has just coaches from HWH to GTL. Why not SER add around 4 slip coaches in this train from HWH to GTL this will definitely be helpful for bringing down the rush. At GTL these coaches can be removed and KCG Vasco slip coaches can be attached. Once SWR completes HPT VSG track doubling ie. after 4 to 5 years and finally allows KCG Vasco dedicated train these HWH GTL slip coaches can be added to HWH VSG main portion. These... more...
slip coaches can consist of 2 SL, one 3AC and one SLR coach which will definitely ease this trains load. Before posting this suggestion on pgportal I would like to get views from you guys here.
Amravati takes 2121kms and if MAO-Panvel - HWH takes 1940+486 which is 2436 kms....which is 305kms extra. Agree it takes longer route,but what is solution if SWR keep on reject proposal from Years?? and RB simply watch and enjoy,some thing is better than nothing. i guess there is some segment of people who are willing to travel for extra 2 or 4 hrs insted of taking break journeys or book in WL.

last year slow chesi mali ee yar speedup enti anna..... Along with early arrival,COA has to reduce maintenance time of Gowtami then only day time another daily maintenance epossible.... Last year both sides 20 mins slow chesindi vastavame and the reason is to minimize TAT at COA by 40 mins as it occupies the PF1 at COA. But if COA itself caters to PM of teh train, then d rake will nt stay idle at the pf. Besides, additional pf is coming up at CCT. Kaali ga unaadu ani Gowtami ki 9 hrs ichadu kani, it can be reduced down. And the slot of 8-14 hrs in Gowtami's pitline can be given to circar. Gowtami taking 14:00- 20:00 hrs slot. Too many stops between Hubli to Guntur sir you can't remove them otherwise protests will start. But one thing to notice is sir will IR really consider the actual distance from Vasco to Howrah or will they use the inflated distance as per the official site, definitely they will use the inflated one. As per inflated kms the distance from VSG to HWH is 2160kms so presently average speed as per IR is 54.5 kph, so even if they speed it up by 20 to 30 minutes it will be 55 kph as per Indian Railways though.
I don't think any further speedup can be seen in near future and neither any of the stops would be removed. It is doing very well currently and it enjoys SF priority in the entire stretch. Only think it requires to increase atleast 4 coaches to cope up with huge rush.
Sir in next three or four years SWR will see a lot of doubled sections. Presently it has a bad reputation for running trains slowly they should really start thinking of major speed ups now and track doubling should definitely help in it. Right now it definitely enjoys SF priority but what if in future IR adds more stops to it considering it is just a normal M/E train completely ignoring its schedule. Besides there are other SFs trains too like GT, ADI HWH SF which has many halts too but still a SF.
Sir my assumptions for speed up are as follows: 1. Completion of Guntur to Guntakal electrification works. 2. Completion of Hospet to Vasco track doubling. 3. Loco change from electric to diesel shifted to Guntakal so halt time of Guntur to be reduced. 4.... more...
Running of dedicated HYB VSG train so SCR can complete the loco change at Guntakal from electric to diesel and vice versa easily without bothering about slip attachments or detachments. 5. Increase in MPS in Braganza Ghats from 30 kph to at least 50 kph. 6. No waiting for crossings in the doubled Guntakal Vasco stretch so can definitely manage higher average speeds. These assumptions are not that much impossible sir only thing is required is dedication from SWR for higher speeds not only for this train but all trains on BAY to LD and SBC to LD route. If SWR takes up speeding up of trains seriously this train will definitely be one of the benefiting one from it. Thanks.
