I recall time of 1970s : at Gandhidham GIMB we had to go for booking tickets for GIMB ADI, as BG was not extended to AJE / BHUJ. And with limited quota at Anjar, the last resort was to book from GIMB.
The booking window was dominated by a pair of certain Brothers who wielded Authority more than the SM and ARM... and reason, they had 'connection' with Jaipur Division under whom this station was managed.
Both of them had unique characteristic. Senior was bit stammering, and Junior was addicted to Drinking... and both were minting money by virtue of their doing 'joint venture' business with private players...

and most pious thing they did was perform worship with Incense of Gods whose photos were hung above their seats...
And funniest thing was that these gods were not our traditional Hindu gods but the ruling party congress leaders, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi and etc. etc.
I asked once why do you do this?
Senior replied in his peculiar tone ....

They stuck to this place for almost a decade, in spite of heavy complaints against them from local leaders, and powerful Mumbai Lobby of Kutchis...
And when Administration 'woke up' to the 'woes and plight' of local passengers, they were transferred together to Jaipur / Ajmer ...
