[Now Condemned] In Jan 2013, BL WCAM1 21816 seen skipping Bandra with 59439 BCT-ADI Pass

BL WCAM-1 21816 was seen in action on 6th January 2013 skipping Bandra station while hauling 59439 Ahmedabad Passenger.

In January this loco was in AC/DC avtaar but later on it was converted to Pure AC (Rainbow avtaar) but that was only for a short period. :(

Now in April 2013, this loco was condemned as they were already working beyond their life span and required a much needed rest for the ever hard...

working locos and the life line on WR for around 4 decades.

BL WCAM1s hardly had regular failure issues, thanks to the best maintenance job by BL ELS. Infact many times they were seen rescuing trains with failed locos like WAP, WDM etc. It has rescued almost all biggy trains like 12216 DEE GR, 12009 Shatabdi, 12932 DD AC Exp, 12951 Mumbai Rajdhani, 12925 Paschim Super Exp and the list goes on and on.

Still at present, BL WCAM-1 rules the WR's BCT-ADI route by hauling many express, superfast and other passenger trains along with heavy few freight duties too. Now there are 32 WCAM1s left in action but not bothering to take the due retirement. :)
