This train even in non monsoon has average speed below 55kph inspite of being a SF train. Gets overtaken by even M/E trains, has unnecessary overtake by Matsyagandha SF in KR. Either Railways increase its average to 60kph which should be possible considering the route it travels by reducing the unnecessary slack or degrade it to M/E category so passengers are not cheated.
SWR SWR crossing or offlink crosses another offlink, The Karnataka SF hauled by offlink Lallaguda WAP4 22316 crosses Vasco Patna SF Express with rare pseudo APU 3D :)
Thanks bro :) used my mobile cam for this one
Still quality stands perfect ..
Loco Has APU grilles but no APU. Spotted at my place with YPR-CAN express
That makes it even rare :p . Thanks for the info buddy :)
MGS-ALD Congestion: COI isnt earmarked station now for NCR, as no PF/Loop exist for it.
One f9 morning, while awaiting PNBE-BNC Premium, got this small incident to understand vital congestion input, been ignored by various blogger @ IRI while involved in Zonal Bash...
Been a pass thru station & regular train, Vasco-PNBE was all green after main line block (Freight @ MGS & AII-SDAH @ ALD End...with probably preceeding trains blocked as chains...).
Chain pulled & pass thru became 10 minutes halt for Vasco SF...in all that span, UP/DN NCR Track kept blocked (20 mins)...anyone simply could imagine the impact & just imagine at least 10 such chain pull impact a day!!!!!
Even major station byepass will survive train getting jammed @ Major station but to the nearby junction point where byepass gonna merge main track!!!
Intersection gonna happen which will keep traffic blocked...less for 2day, more for coming years...
What is its Monsoon Timetable effective from June 10 ?
If this train starts from Hubli/Dharwad/ Belguam at the same it would be helpful for the people to travel
that time lalu only helping bihar so
Extension of this is not possible due to RSA pattern.
UBL can start a train to Patna via GDG
need to be extended up to Dibrugarh to manglore
If it's extended from Mangalore to Dibrugarh, then chances are it will be re-routed via Secunderabad, Bhubaneswar, Kharagpur, Maldah then towards Assam, So it will be evading UP & most of Bihar.
Hence chances are bleak...
Should beade biweekly and extend upto dbg once a week.
Train covers 2200+ kilometres with just 19 halts inspite of that average speed is below 55kph complete looting by IR.
12741 - 4 scheduled overtakes.
12742 - 7 scheduled overtakes including 3 by M/E trains.
Why cant IR run it at 60kph average speed by reducing the slack and the overtakes it runs through high speed sections and is a superfast but priority wise its even overtaken by M/E trains. Also it has very limited halts so can be easily speeded up.
Very sad the way TT has been designed for this one...
Worst TT for a superfast train.
