i would be reaching Patna Junction on Tue 19 Feb night by 12488 Seemanchal Express. Can anyone suggest a good hotel around the station because i have to leave the next day evening. So it will be just a night's stay ( if 12488 Seemanchal Express is on time !!!!!) Please suggest some good hotel please !!!

2 Marwari Awas Griha, Fraser Road, The Patna Junction is adjacent to the hotel (about 300 metres away) @ Rs 960/- Room only

These days 24 hour tariff options are rare. But almost all hotels allow safe deposit of luggage. You can opt check out at scheduled time ( many hotels allow extra 1 to 3 hours late check out option, please confirm from them). And you can handover your luggage for safe-keeping. But upto 11:45 hours, either you pay for 2 days rent or choose safe keeping system at hotel. You may use cloak room facility at station itself, if the luggage is locked. Hand bags etc are not accepted there.

Sir, There are lot of hotels near by station. I just not remember the name but its viewing from Mahaveer Mandir side (PF1) is good and clean & safe. Other option given by Goyal Sir is also can consider.

there is a comfy 2 star hotel at kadam kuan. apsara hotel. you will love it for hospitality. the tariff may be a bit high. i would advice you to call them and confirm. if falls within your budget, a must try.

I think Presidential intervention is required in the operations of North Central Railway..Today morning near Khurja(b/w Ghaziabad-Tundla),12488 Seemanchal Exp overtook 12312 Kalka Howrah Mail,but somwhere b/w ALD-MGS,again 12312 Kalka Howrah Mail overtook 12488 Seemanchal Exp...Are the DyC's really qualified for whatever job they're doing...Why Administration wasting public money to pay Rs 40k salary to these people,Needs some talented people to be recruited....Railway Recruitment Board is not performing its duty properly..Recruitment Rules must change immediately.
PS:-This is only one such case & is the tip of iceberg..If you follow regularly,you can notice so many such similar incidents.

Operation of North Central Railway is not @ all justified...if they cant have proper co-ordinations b/w Divisions...Think if this is happening with 2 trains running on time,then how they treat trains which are delayed by more than 12 Hrs.Also please explain me,how is overtake of 12502 Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Exp by 12816 New Delhi Puri,12506 North East,12488 Seemanchal & 12312 Kalka Mail justified..??

well nobody know what they are upto.. I dont think overtake of a superfast by another is justified unless one of them is having halts whereas other one skips them and if both on time then theres no quesyion of it..
PSK had very limited halts and rest trains had a lot of halts so in this case PSK must be given first preference then rest 4 trains and also PSK is running too late...

Seemanchal is presently delayed by 2.5 Hrs..if it would have ran back to back Kalka Mail right from Daud Khan,then it would have been only 1 Hr late...also Seemanchal has only 6 SL coaches & compared to Kalka Mail,a very inferior quality train(though it's stoppage is lesser than Kalka,still it doesnt have any prestige & mostly carries U/R passenger),whereas Kalka Mail is a premier train running for more than 100 years...So under any circumstances,overtake of Kalka Mail by Seemanchal is not justified.
Its the same case of Gomti vs Swatantrata Senani.....But today Gomti failed too keep Sampoorna Kranti behind itself....

PSK started from NDLS as early as 05:50,other than customary overtake of LKO Swarn Shatabdi,they could have easily maintained a 2-3 stations gap b/w PSK & its immediate successor New Delhi Puri....then by now it could've comfortably left MKA by now...also today run b/w Tundla-Kanpur was extremely smooth...PSK had 15274 running in front..both had covered Tundla-Panki 221 km in around 2 Hrs 40 mts....after Kanpur Division change..strategy change...it delayed by 4-5 more Hrs
That's the other matter....Overtake of Kalka Mail by Seemanchal is justified because acc. to TT,seemanchal should enter CNB b4 kalka mail......
Its ald division from gzb to mgs..Kanpur is not a division.
seemanchal has only 15 coaches and 7 more coaches are need to be added to this train alongwith a PC and route to be diverted via Mb-Lko-Bsb for better patronage and good running..
well thats the problem.. Ald division is unable to keep trains on time, specially between kanpur and Mughalsarai.. Almost all the trains get delayed within this 350 kms stretch..
yesterday 12394 got delayed by 3 hrs between Ald to Mgs..
Gomti is never allowed to be overtaken.. A numerous time swatantrata senani arrives kanpur after 0700 hrs and trail behind gomti upto delhi..
