no WAP-5 GZB is required,WAP-4 HWH hi kaafi hai.

WAP 5 is not used for hauling long trains.
WAP-5 doesn't necessarily means that it is better than WAP-4.
Infact WAP-4 can carry more loads.

& what about WAP-7 HWH Sir?

This train gets a GZB P-5 from ASR so the whitie will come uptil SDAH ... same for Durgiana Exp from ASR to KOAA and also for Gurumukhi Exp from NDLM to KOAA. The Up Trains may get HWH/MGS P-4s for their journey :-)

Dn Trains from North to East India are getting locos from North India ELSs where as the Up Trains from East to North India are getting locos from East India ELSs ... this convention is followed by IR keeping in mind the "nearest rolling stock resources" ... :-)

hey i have seen a lot of freight wagons in BJU-HJP route.....toh ho sakta hai ki woh Barauni ke baad Hajipur jaati ho...waise bhi shayad Rajendra Pul par heavy vehicles kaa jaana mana hai..

It's for the First time that I have seen the photos of this train at Patna Junction. I remember traveling by this train way back in May, 2004 which was a hectic journey for me & my Mother while going to Punjab. Our train had reached at Patna Jn in the evening time. Thanks for sharing these photos. I think that Durgiana Express is a better train than this one :-)

It was hectic as our train was late by many hours. Due to absence of Pantry, we got lunch at SRE at around 3 PM, which we should have got at MB. Before SRE, we had to eat some of our home made lunch which was thankfully left. Further, our train suffered from it's Diesel loco failure near Darazpur Stn, near Jagadhri for more than an hour which delayed our train further. The train needs improvement :-p

Lovely ... this loco may have brought this train right from Amritsar to Sealdah. This photo shows that this train may have stopped at Burdwan Jn for an Unscheduled Halt :-p
