AC Express will surely click with good TT...Running 24 coaches from CSTM/DR-Chennai is difficult as of now same mentioned by CR officials only due to maintenance constraints...

ya i also heard few PF in cstm are not capable to handle 24 coaches also thats why 12321/22 cstm-hwh mail is running with 24 coaches

DR Terminal can't handle 24 coaches platforms and maintenance space constraints...Also you can see very very few trains running with 24 coaches from CSTM also due to space/maintenance issues.Our Own Admin SV Iyer** sir sent a suggestion to RB thru PG for atleast augmenting of these three dailies atleast since no new train is not introduced,that was declined stating the above mentioned reasons...

ac express with less number of halts is fine really..if a dur.ontho or ac express is introduced it also helps for intermediate stations bcoz source to destinations are done booking for ac express or duronto..intermediate stations having very less quota for the 3 dailies..very tough to cnfrm..

Space availability is biggest issue for that...

No Duronto at all strictly...A AC express with limited halts is preferred..

Why not utilize Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) for Chennai bound trains...?

In October 2012, CR announced plans to cease long distance train services at Dadar within 5–6 years. The load would be transferred to LTT by upgrading the number of platforms at LTT from 5 to 12. CR plans to introduce connectivity with other modes of transport as well as build a mall, multi-storey parking, escalators, restaurants, food courts, better signage and indicators, budget hotels and an aesthetically pleasing exterior and interior. The project will be implemented on public-private partnership (PPP) mode and is expected to cost INR50–60 billion. The project will be executed by the Railway Land Development Authority on the 20 acres of land that CR possess around LTT.

But Dadar is easily accessible.
