GREAT...It always runs with twin locos and is preferred over SF trains on GZB-NDLS route.
the other loco is not used as a banker..it normal loco link are twin WDP-1..one in the front n one at the back.....once i asked the LP about the reason for the same while i was travelling on the loco he said that the pressure decreases after GZB n to accelerate faster so as to clear the line
I travelled on loco too.Even from GZB and SBB both its locos(specially the second one) are fully filled with daily travellers.Now its very short around 14 coaches only.
i think loco which pushed rake from back of train called as ''banker'' ,, regular or not it doesn't matter :)
banker is a loco which pushes a rake in an uphill gradient (and) breaker is a loco which pulls/holds the rake in a downhill gradient..
other than that there are various loco arrangements in non-banker/braker sections as a Push pull operation..these are not called bankers/breakers AFAIK, i may be corrected if am wrong..

Now runs with a single loco and increased no of coaches.

There is shortage of coaches in 54411/54412. from the rake size of 22, it has reduced to 14 and in that also, 2 coaches are for ladies. It is in pitiful condition that passengers have to travel as if they are poultry or sheep/goats. Railways say that coaches are sent for yearly maintenance but please note there were 3 rakes of 22 coaches each and nowadays there are only 14 coaches per rake. If maintenance is required, railways should provide alternate coaches so that daily passengers and other passengers do not suffer.

i have also observed the fact that, most of the passenger trains in this route are over crowded...even in roof, side of engine...etc....so railway should increase service in this route.....but the question is that, whether all these guys use to buy tickets or not....if not, then due to lack of revenue...train service no. can't be increased. what do you say?
