The Coaches of a particular train may be used for another train .. This type of utilization is named as RSA Example The Rakes /Coaches of Narayandri Exp(TPTY-SC EXP) is used for Falaknuma EXp (SC-HWH EXP) Hence 12733 is RSA with 12703

Rake Sharing Agreement means????

Rake means the coaches or series of coaches used by passengers. The RSA means the Rake is shared by two or more than two trains. For example, the Lucknow Chandigarh Sadhbhavna S/F express, on arrival at Chandigarh, departs as Unchahar express to Allahabad. Similarly, the Unchahar express, on its arrival at Chandigarh departs as Sadhbhavna S/F express to Lucknow. This is done to optimize the usage of racks and reduce the idle time of rakes at particular station to mimimum. There are many other examples also.

Rake share arrangement or RSA means the scenario where the incoming rake of one train is used for the outgoing rake of the other-this is to ensure optimizing the use of rakes and minimizing idling time.

Same rake is used for 2 different trains... Eg. Vaigai express coming from MDU to MS goes as Pallavan from MS - to TPJ, in the same way Pallavan coming from TPJ to MS goes as Vaigai ffrom MS to MDU - - this is rake sharing arrangement

no single dedicated rake available then if trains coaches have to be shared like vaigai-pallavan combo..........same rakes are used as vaigai as well as pallavan express......
