Whether this train has crowd from tirupati? I'm planning to return in this train on 18th. if this train has crowd I'll go to station early. any members pls clarify. thanks in advance.
not sure but the timings suggest that it should be pretty crowded. the reasons being it reaches in office hours so that people can join office at chennai and it is a train with passenger fares. so bound to be crowded right from tirupati. admins from andhra pradesh could explain better.

Last week I travelled in this traint to TPTY. Up to Thiruvallur it was so crowd. After the train was free. Finally it reached Tirupati around 24.40. Around one and hour delay.
From Central it may come into one amount Platform No.12, 13, 14 or 15.

Its a MEMU and no seperate engine for it
This is the counterpart for Saptagiri.
Has loco on one end and control on the other.
Hence, no loco rev @ RU.

Counterpart of Sapthagiri is chennai Express-Sapthagiri returns as chennai express and leaves again as tirupati express and returns back-the number of the train says its a MEMU and its runs like a passenger on the strech

except for one which was transferred from HWH Rail museum to CLW for special test purpose recently!!!

Its not possible dat Lalgola were once pulled by WAM 1... The reason is that Krishna Nagar City Junction- Lalgola stretch was electrified just 4-5 years ago... Before dat, all Sealdah- Lalgola Passengers were hauled by WDM's, mostly WDM-2.

right sir actually its MEMU rather than EMU. All MEMU's start with 6 followed by zone number which is also 6 for SR.
