Yes Three rakes of DEMU of 7 cars each will do a better job in this section as it will reduce fuel, time savings on rake reversal n acceleration is also better. I had suggested to SWR this an year ago but SWR doesn't seem to be interested.

Even i suggested SWR to use DEMU in UBL div also like UBL-DWR and UBL-BJP pass so that Rake reversals can be easily avoided. ifKR is able to run Demu in Konkan section i dont know what prob SWR face all the time
For extension to Londa, it will require Bankers n all... So beat could be utilise the existing rake. (post DEMU allotment) to run one QLM LD trip ...Dep/arrv timings at QLM to match with DEMU trains for perfect connection...
