u r right.infact this is the 2nd time,i have seen a WAG-7 loco hauling a passenger train..last time i saw a DHN-GAYA passenger with WAG-7.mostly this loco is for long goods train.probably for its capacity of doing that..

Wrong . On this route there is already 15027/15028 Maurya Express. So no need, new train Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express via Bokaro Gomoh Gaya Varanasi Mau Deoria would be best. Shortest route for GKP.

yes , even why most of the trains from kolkata goes via barauni is bit puzzling as this route takes much time, i think via gaya -- bbs -mau will save atleast 4-5 hours.

yes asansol gorakhpur and asansol gonda should have routed via gaya mgs bsb

there was no need of both the trains......already there are many trains from Asansol to Goarakhpur and Gonda

no extension will not be a beteer optionas this train already runs empty....Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express via Bokaro Gomoh Gaya Varanasi Mau Deoria ....it will be a great success

Which train you said sir, even Maurya exp. is running packed throughout the year. who said its running empty? This is a very old train. A good and best train for Eastern UP and North Bihar to Jharkhand. Either a passenger from BUI, MAU can easily take this train from CPR. Increasing speed is a need of this train.

i have travelled by it frm bokaro to gorakhpur in 2ac......its good only upto MFP SPJ CPR SV ....after siwan only i and an old man were travelling upto Gorakhpur........people avoid this train upto gorakhpur as its too time taking its better to go to varanasi and take another train. and i was not talking about this train i was talking about ranchi-varanasi express which runs empty

Sir, firstly you said that Maurya is good up to MFP-CPR-SV but after SV nobody take this train up to GKP. But this is normal condition in various trains when they reach before their destination. Also if RNC-BSB running empty then whats the problem to extend it up to GKP?

problem of extension is that Passengers of East U.P , Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Mau, Deoria etc reside largely in Ranchi, Bokaro, Gaya, etc....so there it would be the best route....Even I have relatives in Gorakhpur and Mau but due to poor connectivity we have to face problem. 15021/15022 Express would have been ideal via Bokaro but runs via BJE where its not neded....

Already another Weekly train is in operation 15022/15021 via TATA, Bokaro to Varanasi and Gorakhpur from Shalimar.
You can avail that.

For MFP, SPJ, BJU, SV...the best route available from Ranchi is via DHN, KIUL bur for Gorakhpur the shortest and best route is via GMO, GAYA, BSB(Loco reversal), MAU...this route will provide passengers from Ranchi, Bokaro, Chandrapura, Gaya, Dehri, Sasaram, Varanasi ....

wrong....15021/15022 runs via TATA-PRR-BJE-GMO......that is the biggest tragedy....i wonder why it was not made to run via TATA-PRR-BKSC-GMO......where it is most needed.....

What are you talking ? Bokaro has all terminal facilities. 12019/12020 RNC-HWH Shatabdi Express earlier ran from Bokaro to Howrah, later it was extended upto Ranchi. 13351/13352 Dhanbad-Allapuzha Express also used to originate from Bokaro but extended upto Dhanbad. Now only Bokaro-Howrah Passenger terminates here along with other local trains. It has a Washing line which has the capacity of three trains at a time. Its a carriage watering station also. So starting a train from Bokaro is not a big deal as many trains in IR terminate at small stations then why not an A Class station like Bokaro Steel City.

I agree extension of RNC-BSB would benefit this route but at the same time diversion of 15021/15022 via PRR-BKSC-GMO instead of PRR-BJE-GMO would be great as this will eliminate the need of a new train on the same route.e.g RNC-GKP and SHM-GKP via Gomoh and will also eliminate burden from already bust G.chord

In the festival season if you do not board Maurya Express in hatia or ranchi you won't get a seat.
In lean perios also Maurya express runs fully packed.
No one can say that Maurya express runs empty.

In that case if 5021/5022 goes thru BKSC, will it require a Reversal at BKSC??

NO....no reversal is required at BKSC ,it can follow the same route as of 12801/12802 from Tatanagar-Purulia-Bokaro-Gomoh-Gaya-Varanasi....That is the reason i think why it was not made to run via this route despite the fact that we people need it most .

I am not saying Maurya runs empty its the best train fro North Bihar and for Gorakhpur its the only option as its the only direct train from Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad For Gorakhpur. People travelling with families prefer direct connectivity with much luggage. It becomes difficult to break journey and its worst when train is not easily available from the station where people break their journey. Many people travelling to East Uttar Pradesh from the cities of Ranchi Bokaro Dhanbad Gaya etc have to break their journey at Varanasi . From BSB few trains are available for GKP and if you are lucky they will run on time as due to single line trains get delayed on this route.
