Can anybody tell what happened today at Hyd? This train starte 1/2 hr late at Hyd and 55 min late at SC. Now just a head of Tamilandu crossed WL at 9:02.
May be Some track Maintenance Work I guess.

It has reached the destination VSKP on time 5:50 AM. Best part of it is, just covered 1 hr + late after RJY within 3 hrs of time.
Does this train always overtake GT between WL and BZA ?
depends on the conditions n the section controllers. apart from it, it overtakes GT afaik.
It has a scheduled overtake of GT when both run on time. Usually GT arrives WL late and makes up the slack time to reach BZA on time. Thanks.
Yes, 70% of the time, Godavari leaves earlier than GT, remaining time 12728 over takes GT between Warangal - Khamam. Only in 2 occasions in 2012, Godavari Trailed GT until BZA. In 2013, it didn't happened so far!. It over takes not only GT but Andman and Locknow-Chennai exp also.
It over takes TN also some times. But very rare.
The overtakes Happens only when 12616 GT leaves WL ahead of 12728 Godavari.(Either before or after khammam).if GT is late,then the ovetake wont take place

What happened at Warangal today, trains at Warangal are got delay of 1+ hr, including Godavari, GT though they are on time till that point?
signal damage thats b/n wl and bza in some stn

Seems Godavari had the Upper hand at last,it reached BZA at 11:10 PM & GT at 11:15 PM as per TE...

Yesterday travelled by Godavari from VSKP to SC.
It started from VSKP bang on time 17:25 behind LGD-WAP4.
Reached BZA again on time.
BZA to SC leg also was hauled by LGD-WAP4.
Reached SC at 05:35.
Good speed through out the journey. WAP4 was blasting through the small stations en route.
A splendid job by SC loco pilots.
Don't why people cry for a WAP7 loco when the WAP4s are doing extemely well with 24 coach and tight scheduled trains.

That's right, no need for WAP7 for any train in particular. All trains TT's are based on various factors but not exclusively for a loco or loco shed.

Wap 7 is a much powerful loco and also its preferred for it real good acceleration.
WAP4 locos are good. But WAP7 locos are better and more advanced.

and WAP-7 have greater MPS than WAP-4

but that unfortunately doesnt matter in most of the sections in india as tracks dont support MPS beyond 130 in 90% of the country :)
