i booked 6 seats from amritsar to delhi on 12484/ ASR KCVL express.
The availabilty prior to booking was 003. After i made the booking, out of 6, three seats came as confirmed and the rest three seats came under pooled quota as below:
PQWL 9 / PQWL 6
PQWL 10 / PQWL 7
PQWL 11 / PQWL 8
I want to know what are the possibilities of all six members getting confirmed berth. will the berths be confirmed at the time of chart preparation or say before that, in any case?

You will come to know which seat you have got after charting is done, that is approx. 3 hour before departure of train

It has good chanes to confirm.
For 2AC, cancellation charges are Rs. 100/passenger for Cnf and for WL it will be 30/pass.

i learnt from one of my friend who said passengers in PQWL are allowed to board the train but they have to share berths with the confirmed passengers on the same ticket.. i.e. in my case 3 PQWL pax will share berths with other 3 CNF pax..

In your case, its E-ticket so when the chart will prepare and if by chance those 3 pax will be in WL then they will get Auto-cancelled(by rule) and their fare will be credited to your A/c.
If this ticket would be from PRS(counter), then your co-pax can board thr train and can share your births.

IN 2AC PQWL in this train seems tough. In meanwhile if some cancellations happens there is a chance. in between if it get confirmed, it will show as CONFIRMED and the seat number you will come to know only after Chart preparation. Anyway full confirmation seems tough.

Since it is PQWL there is no RAC. It will be either confirmed or will remain in WL. If it is partially confined at the time of chart preparation, The rule states that:
Status of E-tickets after Chart preparation :
1. Confirmed E ticket – E-ticket where all passengers are confirmed.
2. Partially waitlist/Confirmed/RAC E ticket – E-ticket where some passengers are confirmed/ RAC and other wait-listed.

your 2. and 3. are partially same... hence pls correct that and then We shall comment you.
Sir This is INDIAN railway where there is a concept called RAC for which you have to share the seat/berth by paying full amount. From a consumer point, this is not good paying full amount and one has to share seat/berth with co pax. So in you case for #3 if all the PAX booked in the ticket have traveled with partial WL there is no point of REFUND.

But these trains skips from Mathura and Ratlam like important cities
KR has very less options connecting Delhi only daily option is Mangla other than that all are weekly,where as RTM/Mathura have pretty good daily connecting options to Delhi..
KR'S LOCAL officers r saying they have no powers...really they r powersless? I think people have to show their power.
Don't know exactly regarding that but a proper public representation should make it possible...
