We have been travelling since years by Gujarat Express train. Train Service is good but lately, in A/c Chair Car, we find that the food trays are not cleaned. At times, we find cockroaches running. On our return journey, we travelled by the First Class Compartment and found a small rat running all round the place. I think the railway authorities should maintain these ACC or even FC compartments by keeping a person to bring out a big plastic bag where people can throw their waste. We would suggest that some banners should be put up for the passengers with the instructions to keep the trays clean after use to avoid cockroaches, rats and unhygienic surroundings, thus travelling for them and others will be better.
This cockroach and rat issue is there in almost all the trains. I think the passengers are the first one to be blamed, than Railways. It is the left-over of the food, they drop inside the trains, that attract these rodents.
Yesterday, i was travelling in a 2A coach in a train and had seen half the coach strewn with Lays chips by some of co-passengers. Naturally, when this train is moved into the yard, rodents like rats and cockroaches will fill-up these coaches.
Passenegers, like us, should first keep our surroundings clean, by not spilling food etc, before complaining about IR.

Pantry Car is a Must for this train. This train have no Long Halt Duration at Intermediate stations for buying Food.
