Official site is wrong, had a personal experience of missing the train due to wrong TT..

Just see the ticket clearly saying boarding station as JU.
Went to JU and then found out that it is from BGKT.
Eventually missed the train.
Can I complain to the consumer forum in this case??

This is a Temporary shift of terminal for this train along with three more trains from JU to Bhagat ki Kothi due to some works going on...This will be same till 31-07-2013.Refer click here

So why are they issuing tickets from JU??
It confuses passengers and its a violation of consumer rights isn't it?

you may go to consumer forum but it is not the fault of railways. they have given about temp about temp change notice in leading newspaper and website.

But then why they are stating boarding point as JU in the ticket..
It is not a ticket taken long ago..

Its a temporary shift so they are continuing to give tickets from JU also guess the BGKT is with in JU..Anyways for inconvenience caused to you surely can approach consumer court...

you should have checked with railway enquiry before departing .. its your mistake also , departure from bgkt is well known now ..

Just consider a case of a tourist. They don't know that JU and BGKT are same for railways.They will go to the station mentioned in the ticket na?

What about a person who is not a regular traveler. Also staff at raiway enquiry very reluctant to answer.

You are right for people not familiar could face trouble very much...They could have atleast send a communication passengers regarding this by Mobile/E-mail.

This incident happened with my sister and her friends who had a very important exam at Ahmedabad the next day.

Then they had to take a bus, which was really tiresome journey of about 11 hrs..

1. Official TT.Shows JU as the source.
2. Official running status.Goes one step further. Shows train started at JU and reached BGKT 30 min late.
Aren't they misleading?

My sister and her colleagues booked a CK ticket to ADI in this train.The boarding point given on the ticket was JODHPUR JN(JU) and they went to board the train at JU. But there they came to know that the train starts from BGKT and not JU. Finally they missed the train and had to travel by bus...
What could be done now??Can we lodge any complaint?
