One of my short haul rail travel experiences in trains.

That day I was to return from a visit to my brother in Jharsuguda to my hometown Dhenkanal on 18105 BBS Intercity.As the train was scheduled to arrive at JSG on 7:02hrs we reached the station 20 minutes before 7am.Father purchased three general class tickets for Dhenkanal.Then went into PF 1.Our train was announced to be running late by 45 minutes.Whilst waiting at the station I took view around it.There was no rush at the station and it was a fine sunny morning.On platform no.2 was standing...

Jharsuguda-Gondia passenger with WAG 5A Loco and people were getting into it.On platform no.4 there no trains bul som SL coaches BBS-JSG Rajyarani express's rake and a WDM 3A loco was hauling them to somewhere I don't know.After standing 20 minutes at the station,I herad the horn of an electric loco.Due to a long horn I was sure it was a Passenger train.Soon my guess was confirmed,a Santragachi Jn. WAP-4 loco hauling the mighty Janeswari S Delauxe express12102 with a speed of 40kmph passed by me.The train had 24 coaches and it was bound for Lokmanyatilak Terminus,Mumbai.The train ignores Jharsuguda jn,where I wish it should have a halt.The train passed through the main Down track.After that there were no trains at the station.Till my train came.It was announced that our train was entering PF 1 and soon putting an end to our wait 18105 made a royal arrival at the station.The train was hauled by a BNDM WDM 3A loco.Although we had unreserved tickets,we got into reservation chair car coach D1 till SBPY. Our train departed after 5 minutes.It gained up speed and travelled at 60-780kmph on the single track.It made a small halt at Rengali and then moved on,There was almost no rush at the station.Father was worried of being in a reservation coach.He decided to go to an unreserved coach at SBPY where our train arrved an hour later.There were no attempst of coming back on time.I,father went to an unreserved coach which was the third fom the loco.My uncle had arranged three seats for us in that coach which he got into at Rengali.Although I wanted to stay on the D1 but I had to follow father's orders.The train again came to speed until it reached RAIR.Where it stood for 3 minutes.Then we moved on.Nearby RAIR at an unknown station, I noticed 12893 DN BBS-BLGR exp standing on the Platform track and waiting for the green signal.Then we went on at speed of 60kmph departed BONA after a short stoppage there.15 minutes after departing BONA our train halted at an unknown station and waited for green signal.The cause of the halt was PURI-LTT express.As it was a single track a train has to halt on a platform line until the other crosses on the main track.LTT express was hauled by VSKP-WDM 3A loco and was at a speed of nearly 60-70kmph.Then our train made a slow progress upto Angul where it arrived on PF 2.PF 1. was occpied by 18507DN Hirakud express bound for ASR.After Angul our train carried on it's slow progress till TLHD from Double line is ahead.After deparing TLHD the train showed it's couarage.It thunderd at 100kmph,I heard the sweet sound of WDM 3A,it was hauling with power.At a station named Meramudali,I noticed DN Puri-Rourkela passenger hauled by aBNDM WDG 3 with 9 GEN coaches.40 mns after departing TLHD our train entered into Dhenkanal's PF 2.The train was 1 hour and 20 mins late.Then we got down and walked on the foot over bridge.The train leaving us and saying a silent good bye moved on to it's next stoppage at BBS after a 2 mins halt at the century old Dhenkanal station.The journey unforgetable for me as a typical journey in an uncomfortable General class coach.
