Buffer time is more at DD/Daund = 3h 15min. whereas it's ~2 hours at Manmad.
Daund to Manmad, Deekshabhoomi takes 4h 40 min. whereas MYS-Varanasi takes ~6 hours.
In other case From Manmad to Itarsi,
Mysore-Varanasi takes (8h 45m) ONLY whereas
11045/Kolhapur-Dhanbad takes (23h 15m) which is triple.
Identify the two trains in the frame and the location too.
(Hint: Both are Weekly trains, and one of the least captured trains of mine.)
ya , Deekshabhumi exp . Travelled in 2011 . I was surprised to see a diesel loco cuz alcos rarely visit Dhanbad. And perhaps its the only train in Dhanbad gaya stretch to be hauled by a diesel loco
As this is the only train connecting Dhanbad from pune and till Kolhapur if this could be directly routed from Itarsi to Manmad and not doing the bharat darshan by going to Nagpur and again to mammad via Aurangabad. This is a long distance train and should have followed the shortest route. Railways should think on it and must do the needful re routing. As per the need another train to connect from Etarsi to Manmad via Awrangabad could be a better option.
nagpur can not be skipped as deekshabhoomi is a special place in nagpur and this train is meant for peoples visiting that place form various stations. This is surely not for end to end pax.
It originally ran between Gaya and Nagpur so Nagpur cannot be skipped
This train must be called "Maharashtra Bhraman Express" or "Maharashtra Darshan Express"
Instead this trains route can be made via Nagpur-Raipur-Bilaspur-Rourkela-Hatia-Ranchi-Bokaro SC-Chandrapura-Dhanbad (this is suitable for end to end passengers)

Kharab kuch nahi hain bas Maharashtra mein unnecessary zyada ghoomta hain isiliye bas 'Maharashtra Bhraman' karva deta hain...
not sure about this, but the long, circuitous route is perhaps the result of multiple extensions.
Y'day 11046 departs 5hrs late from nagpur & now only 25min late @daund!!!

For your kind information :
Itarsi to Pune (normal Straight route Via Khandwa- Bhusaval- Manmad) = 805 KMs.
Itarsi to Pune (via Nagpur & Manmad) = 1407 KMs
Difference = 1407-805 ~= 600 extra distance.
so, Is Railway earning extra money for these 600 KMs ?
this train was extended from Nagpur to Kolhapur, but during its extended portion it has been made a passenger crawling all through marathwada and then entering west MH..... it can easily take PUNE_BSL_NGP_ET = 1187 kms....
Of course, since distance increases.
1187 is almost 1200. so it only reduces 200 Kms.
whereas it can be reduced to 805 Kms, if it runs via Itarsi- Khandwa- Bhusaval- Manmad - Pune.
but what about NGP... it has to be taken care off... the original destination of this train for many years was NGP...
firstly this was 12143/44 gaya-ngp deekshabhoomi sf.
then after xtension 2 ned it became 17643/44 deekshabhoomi express.
later got xtended to the now current route
NGP cant be skipped!! This train was originally for NGP only..
well strange thing is 10 years back also it has just 1 3AC coach now also same
they should increase it by 3AC-3, 2A-1, SL-12

but I dont think it will work ,, fact that with in 5 YEARS, our public will totally scrap off railways if they proceed further, till the date, people first prefer SL and if its heavy WL, then they just think of 3rd AC...
