hey according to tt is this train really run at speed of 130 from mas to sullurpeta??then its a marking thing,,,even new delhi bhopal shatabthi(fastest train) doesnt make this speed,,,
k accepted,,,even bhopal s 150 kmph,u check the speed out of stations in iri it doesnot have 130 there,,,,but janshat is 130 ,,,,i think the tt s wrong

Yes, it is a TT mistake. The speed mentioned there is the 'average' speed of the train between that station and the next station. Looks like the TT has been corrected on IRI now.

once upon a time one of the best train to travel to vijayawada from chennai,,,,all tamil people for vising temple tourists prefer this train to night train,,,but all the prestige gone because of diverting it via new guntur,,,,,it will be very good if its restored back via normal route,,,,,better if new guntur people want a train more passenger train from vijayawada to tenali junction can be started so that all the persons on new guntur can take janshat,pinakini in tenali or vijayawada,,,,,,orelse future exp trains can run via this route ,,,,not this sr train,,,,bad decision by southern railway,,
but must be restored and a passanger must be included,,,
But I do not think diverting via New Guntur is adding much to its distance. To my knowledge, some works are in progress to increase MPS between Guntur and Krishna canal. At present there is speed restriction in that section. Hopefully, once those works are completed, it can run with good speed and cover up sometime.

Yesterday travelled in this train from Nellore to Chennai. The train was late by 30 mins, arrived at 19 50 hrs. Inspite of having reserved ticket, I struggled a lot to board my compartment. Though this train is called Jan "Shatabdi" and officially there is no UR coaches, the train is full of UR passengers till Chennai. There was no TTE in my coach.
Sunday rush as usual,tte will in other coach I guess 2-3 tte will be their
But, Is UR tickets allowed in Shatabdi type trains ? So, you mean to say that on sundays, UR tickets are allowed in this train. Then why should they charge more in this train than Pinakini where there is no difference between both.
Its Jan shatabdi train ,its just intercity type train, shatabdi is different.
The Railways claim that this is not another Intercity Train but Shatabdi train with non A/C accommodation and no food charges included. Also the travel by this train is 15 - 20 rupees costlier than other superfast intercity trains.
What facility u want in janshtb? Vacant berths filled by gen pax ,railway earns money ,15rs extra for no gen coach facility backup money,
End to end pax has to suffer becaz of via ngnt route
The best option available for filling vacant seats is the Current Booking System. And you are speaking about railways earning money. Is there a separate UTS for JanShatabdis ? The unreserved passengers will be holding superfast tickets. And in the beginning of this blog I mentioned there was no TTE atleast in my compartment filled with atleast 50 standing passengers. Then who collected these extra money ? It is not the railway that is earning.
Instead converting this JS into SF train with 24 coaches will help a lot.
Or a jan sadharan type train can train JS.

12077 runs daily with wam ajj..on thursday's too..
Actually wap-7 of gzb used to come with 12270 chennai duronto(on wednesday)and haul any train which returns the same day to mas.And then on friday again it goes to nzm witk 12269 chennai duronto this used to happen till feb 2012,then from gzb to lgd,lgd to rpm,p-7 links have been changed.So 12077/78 does not run with wap-7 anymore ...
