All day train..may be weekends it helps.

12 hours+ in CC accomdation could be tiresome only if it has push back and recliner kind of seats would be helpful...

When Pinakini can get 2 AC-CC and many unreserved coaches, why can't 12077/78 get one more AC-CC and two 2S coaches?
Is there any demand/more patronage to add more coaches as it is hardly with 8 coach train

Reached Chennai Central at 10:40 PM, 40 mins late.
The query was confusing because of the wrong train number.
I am travelling from vijayawada to chennai by janshatabdi (12078) on 15th march, As per schedule janshatabdi will reach chennai central at 10 pm. I have to catch a train from chennai to nagapattinam @ 11 pm on the same day.
So my question is can i trust janshatabdi that it will reach chennai on time or will there be any delay. If there is delay i may miss the train to nagapattinam. Please advise if it is good to travel by janshatabdi keeping in mind the train to nagapattinam.

Dude, Shatabdi terminates at MAS and Karaikal Exp is from MS. Both stations are 10-20mins apart. Looks difficult but possible!!
It wil reach on time-come out take an auto which will tak eabout 10 mins to Egmore-bargain for not more than Rs.40/-

That will very risky Kartik but may reach just in time...
it is not so tough... it reaches on time and u can easily take connecting train... but if by anything happens on that particular day.. than it is purely ur luck...
You can actually-JS generally comes onto PF-4 and you can easily make out to exit as rake is shorter one and exit not far off
Actually I am travelling from hyderabad to vijayawada by intercity and from vijayawada to chennai by janshatabdi. we do not have any trains to reach chennai during the day, unfortunately I dont have a choice. if there are any other trains during day please suggest. I dont get enough leave so planning the journey on 1 day itself
I would suggest if you want to be tension free take Howrah-Tiruchirappalli Bi-Weekly Express/12663 on that day tickets are available now would reach Chennai egmore directly by around 8 - 8:30 PM and break there and have your dinner and then continue your onward journey..

Yes, thats true. but I am starting from hyderabad. There is no train from hyd which reaches vijayawada before 1 pm. krishna, intercity and janmabhoomi all of them reach only after 1pm. we need a special train from secunderabad to nagapattinam atleast once a week or during summer season
for you no option other than JS go for it it will reach bang on time take auto from MAS within 10mins u will be at MS

I go to velankani almost every year with family and there are many people from AP who visit velankani. usually i go to chennai by charminar which reaches chennai by 830 am morning. wait till night 11pm and then catch the train to nagapattinam. because of this i have to waste one whole day waiting in the station
thats what we called a nice suggestion a true RF

Yes you are true from different parts of AP direct connectivity to interior tamilnadu we can say absolutely nil,would be good if they introduce one train.

With 2 rakes it is possible. Its too absurd to think that rake will keep running all 24 hrs a day, and everyday.

Actually one 2S has to be removed as it is getting poor response due to re-routing via NGNT
Sir, When I recently traveled in this train 152 seats were left in Current Reservation from MAS, Where as when train started from MAS,It was difficult to find single empty seat.
To over come the NEW effect extension to Vizag is most appropriate.
Then they should not go via New GNT. Within 12-13 hrs, it should run to VSKP. But another rake is needed and SCR doesn't have a JS in the 1st place.
Diversion :) . But most of them got down @ TEN looking @ JB waiting for this train. Hardly 10 passengers were upto NGNT.
