Roaring GOC WDG3a Twins for 11078 Jhelum Express 1 hour late running 11078 JAT-PUNE Jhelum Express lead by an honking SR's WDG3a's# 13114 and 13188 of GOC (Golden rock shed). It was an off-link for this train as it usually gets PUNE WDM2/WDM3A/WDG3a twins for PUNE-BSL part of its journey.

A new SF Exp should be introduce between Pune and Amritsar via Karjat - Panvel - Vasai - Vadodra - Ratlam - Kota - Mathura - New Delhi - Ambala - Chandigarh - Ludhiana - Jalandhar Cantt - Amritsar with rake revarsal at Sirhind Junction. This train will literally lower the burden of Jhelum Express.
Apart from Pune's commuters, this train will be beneficial to Navi Mumbai and Mumbai commuters with having limited quota to board the train from Panvel and Vasai respectively.
Should have following coach composition: SLR + GEN1 + GEN2 + H1 + A1 + A2 + B1 + B2 + B3 + B4 + PC + S1 + S2 + S3 + S4 + S5 + S6...

it will take more than 30 minutes through these process.
Sorry to disagree, But if Jhelum's burden is to be really eased then the train should should cover BSL-BPL-JHS-MTJ-NDLS-UMB route via KJT-PNVL-KYN...
Though it will take 30 minutes more but traveling time as compared to Jhelum Express will be much lessor which is having very vast list of haults.
Not agree with the route prescribed by you, if it goes through WR then it will be benefited to people from Pune, Mumbai and Gujarat.
If the main purpose is ease of load on Jhelum then how will it help if Mumbai/Gujarat/Rajasthan comes into the picture
Pune-Gujarat there are enough trains, Pune-Rajasthan also sufficient trains exist as per the demand,
A duplicate Jhelum can only ease the rush out of Jhelum Express just like LTT-BSB did for Mahanagari...

Jhelum Exp. gets maximum patronage from Pune only and hardly thereafter because the places prescribed by you are having other trains which are far better than Jhelum Exp. to Delhi and neighbouring states.
This service suggested to connect Pune directly to Chandigarh and Amritsar with having limited quotas for Mumbai and Vadodra because it will be passing through these places thats all.

Jhelum is an old and friendly train.

New daily superfast between Pune-New delhi is urgently required.. Its so tough.. I myself experienced it. need to go to Mumbai and catch trin to delhi due to unavailability of proper trains
How about a 18 coach Rajdhani frm Pune to NZM four days a week via MMR and three days on the Pune duronto route ?
Rajdhani connects state capital to National Capital.. So Rajdhani out of point..

rajdhani may be introduced only in the shortest routes and hence in case any Raj is started from Pune it will go via WR and not the MMR-BPL-NDLS route

not necessary.........we have DBRT rajdhani which starts from Dibrugarh in Assam though its capital is Dispur
Sir Goa Rajdhani via Pune will not be feasible as its a long route from also 3 rake reversals are involved. If Goa Rajdhani is to be introduced it needs to be via Konkan Route.
That is because Dispur does not has a station... Maharastra already has Mumbai twin Rajdhanis.. So pune rajdhani can never happen
i am not sure as to whether GHY has any proximity to Dispur........
Hmm..with AC Express all round...Pune should also get one via MMR-BPL-NZM with an aggressive TT...I guess enough patronage will be available for a full AC Express on this route ....

Not only jhelum, even Goa doesnot help much..Duranto is also full all round the year...well AC Express would be the best bet in this case...
