Traveled by 12102 on 1-May from HWH to LTT. Coach B3 The train pulled into PF#21 by 10:30 PM. It departed at 11:05 PM. Cleanliness - Average. The inner glass on my SLB window was broken. Good. Train was detained over 1.5 hrs at AJNI due to OHE issue Food- Excellent. This is the current reate: Veg thali - 120/-, Chicken thali - 150/-, Egg thali - 130/-, Egg biriyani-120/-. Chicken biriyani- 130/-. Bread omelette breakfast- 50/-. Railfanning- Good. Windows were clean and transparent. Safety- Good. Train reached KYN at 7 AM. Did get a call from 139 this time. OBHS took my feedback and rated them 7/10.

Traveled by 12101 on 29-Apr from LTT to HWH. Coach HA1 The train pulled into PF#3 by 7:25 PM. But it was too hot inside as AC was not switched on; fans and lights were on. Punctuality- Good. Train was detained over 2 hrs before ROU due to OHE issue Food- Excellent. This is the current reate: Veg thali - 120/-, Chicken thali - 150/-, Egg thali - 130/-, Egg biriyani-120/-. Chicken biriyani- 130/-. Bread omelette breakfast- 50/-. Strangely, no tea vendor came in the evening in HA1. Overall there very less vendors visited HA1. Railfanning- Good. Windows were clean and transparent. Gangway was clean and free of encroaches. Was hauled by WAP4 #22262. Safety- Good. Did not see too many RPFs though. Train reached HWH at 6:55 AM, a delay of 3 hrs 20 minutes. However NTES showed a delay of 2 hrs and 55 minutes only. Did not get any call from 139 this time. OBHS took my feedback and rated them 8/10. * We still cannot find porters at LTT. There were a few who were sitting outside and chatting! All passengers of 12101 were seen struggling with their luggage on the FOB on their way to PF#3.

Friends an urgent query, have booked tatkal 3AC in 12101 from LTT-HWH on 26/04/2016. Current Status is CKWL 14/15/16 and while booking 30 mins ago, it was CKWL 17/18/19. Any chance of getting confirmed? Or should I try alternative accomodation
Bhai agar PT khaali hota to pakke se ho jaati but PT is exhausted...so koi chance nahi hai...vaise bhi aapki ticket HWH tak hai...NGP tak chances thode badhte but HWH tak 99 % WL hi rahega. Isme PT exhaust hone ke baad 2-3 CKWL confirm hoti hai (generally)...uski bhi koi surity nahi hai.

this video, you can see back to back three trains running through ER's HB Chord instead of SER's original route. 1) Powered by Front panto up 22891 SRC WAP- 4, the 12101 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)- Howrah (HWH) JNANESWARI SUPER DELUXE Superfast races past our EMU, and overtakes 28283 MGS WAG- 7 hauled BCNA Freight. Location is between Gobra and Dankuni Junction. 2) Powered by 22204 BSL WAP- 4, the 12129 Pune (PUNE)- Howrah (HWH) AZAD HIND Superfast races past Madhusudanpur station with an extra SER's DINING CAR attached in the end of the rake. 3) Powered by 22878 SRC WAP- 4, the 12809 Mumbai C.S.T. It was a SER Based Dining Car. SER has a solitary Dining Car coach, which is occasionally used for Special purpose (Like for GM, ministers, etc). The rest of the time, it is kept idle at SRC Coaching yard.

This is why it is called Super Deluxe... 12102 Jnaneswari Super Deluxe Express with WAP-4 at its helm, skipping Chandur at MPS. 11202 Ajni LTT Express was standing at Chandur for its scheduled halt and was overtaken by 12102.

there was 2 AC SF exp .. one LTT-NGP Super Deluxe Exp n 2nd LTT- HWH Jananeshwari AC Super Deluxe Exp with slot sharing later IR decided to add SL n Gen in both trains.. i don't really ki NGP-LTT Exp abhi kis naam se chal rahi hai.. may be NGP based person can say about it... and if m not wrong there was a weekly SF till BBS from LTT with slot sharing with Jananeshwari n NGP AC SF also...
These were all Deluxe trains: Jnaneswari,Poorva and Paschim express. But as time passed and middle class population increased, IR added non-ac coaches to it and speed reduced with halt addition. I dont know about their past rake color but jnaneswari was definetly red in color.
I have no exact proof regarding TT, but i have heard from my dad that these were full AC and having least halts just like durontos of today. Coromandal,Gitanjali,Paschim,Poorva,Jnaneshwari were all of this category. Only Coromandal and Gitanjali were having NON AC classes that time and rest three were kind of Deluxe express.

ICF rake CR rake of 2101/2102/2103/2104 was transferred to NR for 2421/2422/2443/2444 BBS Rajdhani frequency increase via TATA. And Howrah Super Deluxe became Jnaneswari SF while NGP Super Deluxe became Samarsata SF. Later on, it was not converted back to ACSF but remained degraded as sleeper SF.
Copy paste from Regular traveller of Super Deluxe Express. It was completely a case of handing over the rake for the BBS Raj which became daily during Didi's earlier tenure. The then 2101/02 had very good patronage almost throughout the year due to which the original 11 coach all AC rake went upto 16 coaches & frequency increased to 4 days a week. Infact I had stuck out my neck saying at the time the inaugural run of the 12262 was happening from HWH( the time when it reached at 9.10am CST), that if the 2101/02 was persisted with in its all AC avataar & present run times & had the halts at G & CKP eliminated, there would have been no need for the Duronto....!!!
