Also, I had never seen "Kanpur" stenciled on any CNB based loco the way it written on it. Taken at Jandiala (near Amritsar), Punjab, India.

If i'll be a RM, i must have introduced just a series of single sf "SamBhav" train with composition:
Loco Slr GEN1-GEN12 PC S1-S6 B1 B2 A1 SLR
All vestibuled coaches with GEN too, just with in 15min of popular trains like Ap, Gt, Samta, Amrapali, Poorva, Coromandel, Gitanjali etc.
For IR gen coach is just formality, its feelingless for pax

I do agree Sparsh that the number of GEN/UR coaches in all trains shud be increased if not to 12 then at least to 8. But I am not sure if IR will pay only lip service to this idea.

Bt railway is hiking fares in name of quality.. Yestday i lost my courage to board that Gen, and rushd to SL taking God's name, bt i cant even imagine the condition of passenger travelling 10to 12hr with small kids and women, how difficult will be journey.. Railway is totally Inhuman for dis.. Pathetic to see trains like duronto, raj one side and amrapali, ap, samta gen bogie on another side..

well sir, Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav, did solemnly resolve during his tenure that all m/e being introduced hence forth will have minimum of 6 coaches of UR. it is followed to some extent as many trains run with 6 UR coaches but then many a times violated too...
