A new 12mtr platform has been built up and supports for FOB connecting the new platform and PF1(old) can be seen. Old PF1 will be widen to 10mtrs as of current 6mtrs. Hello Sisters :) Mandovi and its RSA partner Konkan Kanya exchange their warm wishes on a cool evening @Sawantvadi Road. Sigh, even the train names are beautiful on the Konkan <3. This is certainly not even an average click by any means, but I find it very refreshing and peaceful.

1. taxi (meru) to CST
2. taxi (meru) to dadar
3. local to dadar from vile parle / andheri
4. local to CST from vile parle / andheri
should i change boarding point from CSTM to dadar, or its not necessary?
Take hourbour line andheri cst local and catch from vile parle.... or you can even take meeru to cst as there is that link road via ltt to eaatern expressway.. then straight to VT
A guy booked an e-ticket through IRCTC on 10112 Konkan Kanya Express for himself and his wife in GNWL for MAO-CSTM on 25/10/2015 and both ended in RAC - RS6-31/RS6-31.
An elderly couple booked (availed SS concession) through some PRS in Sindhudurg for SNDD - TNA - Got the same berth S6-31 (SLB) and S6-32 (SUB). His paper ticket was different. It was smaller (like a UR ticket, but was a journey-cum-reservation ticket). It had no PNR at all.
The RAC couple had PNR, reservation chart pasted at door showed their name, Indianrail.gov.in/pnr_status also showed their name when we checked through mobile internet.

Hi, it is not as straight forward conclusion as you have opined here. Konkan Railway is not a part/zone of IR. It has certain procedures, conventions and practices which are visibly different from rest of Indian Railway. One of these is a separate Quota for KR stations - this is denoted by QRS. Please read the above 25+ comments on this blog entry, before jumping to the conclusion and blowing your trumpet loud.

Today on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL)
Rail Minister Shri. Suresh Prabhu gives a perfect gift to KRCL and signs the doubling and electrification files of Konkan Railway.
Work to begin from 31St October 2015.
The members of Parliament unanimously agreed to this proposal.
KRCL as a Corporation was founded on 15th October 1990.
Also a passenger train announced from Vasai to Ratnagiri.

konkan railway is one of most busiest and congested line of india and it required doubling and electrification
Though I haven't ever travelled in this train but what I have observed is it mostly has old coaches moreover which look pretty shabby from outside .... Still the cleanliness ratings are high. .. So couldn't get. .. Explanations please
