Reason:
1. Other Exp in between VDA-BRC dont have any stoppage while this train do have 2 stoppage, adding more run time
2. This train gets overtaken in between VDA-BRC by SBC/YPR/MYS bound train, on different days, adding to more run time!!

JBP-NGP is quite a semi circular route, with ET as the midway of this semi circle, while Bus ply in direct route!!

saurashtra exp takes far lesser time than ICE... secondly 2 stoppages are not shown in official indian railway site... dey are just meant for overtaking for SBC bound trains...

In any case, the reason for time taken has been defined coz of overtake in between Vasad & BRC!!
Further, kindly note, ADI-VDA run comparison has been defined, where-in equal number of stoppages even have lead Intercity to be 11 minutes faster!!
PS: When station stoppage isnt fixed (either technical), then y its been displayed @ IRI, as passenger who check schedule @ IRI, may feel cheated if train stop only @ one station (or if trailing train gets delayed, no stoppage in between VDA-BRC)!!

Today i traveled in this train from vasad to vadodara which is just 21 km distance..previously the fare in the same train was 17 rs and now its 30..Such a huge increase??I traveled in the same train from ahmedabad to vadodara a few days back and the increased fare was just 7 rs..So why such a huge increase for a 21 km distance

Thanks for the pic ayush. Mahemdavad is my hometown and so many rail fanning memories attached with it. Seems like they changed tracks direction towards Ahmedabad. Back in 90's there was no curve towards ahemdabad line but now there is one. Wondered why they did it??
