When is track between njp and darjeeling going to open .. Anyone has an idea .. The track was damaged at thindria on march 2 2013 ( sry for spelling mistakes) please help

Not only the train service even the main road "Hill Cart" road which goes from Siliguri to Darjeeling is not accessible due to previous landslide... Vehicle take other route to Darjeeling... As 2-3 days earlier their was heavy rain in an around Siliguri so i thought might be it is taken few days back... Authority were repairing the track and road do not know about present condition...

This is one of the best classical picture... Thanks to you and Mr Joydeep Roy for sharing this beautiful picture... This MG track is now not their its is replaced by BG track... Actually still now i am uncertain about the very specific location of the road beside the track... Though in previous blog i have mention it Vivekananda Road... This area demographic has changed a lot... Its about a 20 yrs old photo... This road is now a 4 lane way road... Hard to see this Steam Engines this days...

This train is not operational now because of landslides that took place in 2010,2011 & 2012, major part of the route between KGN & NJP is damaged and is under reconstruction. Further notified that the reinstatement of these service may happen by end of 2013.

let me know how to book the ticket reservation for toy train from njp to darjeeling
For the time being toy train is running between kurseong and darjeeling only and doesnot run till NJP..for booking you can visit irctc and book like for any other train...
