I booked a ticket to travel on JULY 12, 2013. But I did not get the timings on the e-ticket. It seems timings are going to change w.e.f July 1, 20113. Can someone give info about the new timings? Thanks for the very quick response. I am worried because there is no proper info about the new scheduled from the customer care or via email query to the IRCTC. There are no more trains which start in early mornings which I prefer and a must on my journey date JULY 12. So I am in doubt to cancel and go by bus the before night!!!

I Think Your post of Poor Performance of SC-SHM Train is wrong. Because The rakes of This Train are old && Dirty which are not maintained by SCR at all. If new LHB AC train is Given then defintely The Train Will get Get Good public Demand and the Train is given mostly end to end Quota only.

Check cureent status dude. One train cannot be judged by intermidiacte stations quota. Please understand the basic concepts first. This train having hude 140 seat in general quota it self.
Visakha always runs full. This train AC class is half empty which is observed by me personally at VSKP. They need to change the terminal or slot. So that it can get more people.

A good point Venkat,i believe there is more traffic between Calcutta - Madras than Calcutta - Hyderabad.I think it's much easier to get a ticket in this route compared to Cal - Mad route.

timings should be adjusted...05.30 morning departure is not appreciable...I dont thik MMTS in Hyd will run @ that time so people are not able to reach the station.....you can see long distant trains like 12513 SC GHY departing @ 07:30 & has great rush...so this train should also follow 12513 TT

All trains cannot run with suitable timings. In those cases where rush is quota needs to be increased there instead running trains empty.

Taking SC-GHY Slot is not possible since there are trains running such as SBC-GHY,TVC-GHY,ERS-PATNA from BZA on other 6 days using same time slot.

MAS-VSKP not having that demand when compared to HYD-VSKP. Only weekends we have huge rush in this route. But there is a mad rush for sunday train from VSKP-MAS

sIR ONE thing I would like to mention is this route is overhyped....there are so many such other eg where train is dedicated to some station but serving the purpose of some other..One such eg is I like to mention is 12650 Karnataka Sampark Kranti Exp...recently when I boarded this train from NZM,there was nominal rush,in fact I had SL seat & the whole bay was empty...people only boarded there @ JHS which is some 400 km away...the situation was pretty much same for the whole train...finally @ the night we could see some rush & almost 80% berths were occupied...What surprised me more is that my SL seat was Berth No.7(i.e.,immediately near the toilet,sometimes reserved for TTE's too) & according to my previous experiences in some jam pack trains like 12864/12509 I never expected that it would have been a nice seat for RailFanning as this portion of the...

in Kharagpur, a huge Andhra population is there. Most of them employed with the Rly. workshops and other industries. In IIT Kharagpur, a huge no. of staff is employed. Also most of the under grad students in the IIT are from Andhra and most of them have their hometowns in Vizag or Vijaywada. KGP also has a Andhra colony with Telugu medium schools.
