modern dmu rakes are extremely powerfull and can change the entire definition of intercity travel...........gr8 to see coochbehar and malda getting connected,,one of the imp towns of north bengal...........just needs doubling of new coochbehar-new jalpaiguri section..then travel will be efficient...........this train can easily serve people section wise......from coochbehar to siliguri,jalpaiguri and from siliguri to malda,aluabari..........given the pathetic condition of roads.............soon we will see intercity and sub urban travel gaining maximum momentum in north bengal

15-20 mts stoppage will be provided in intermediate stations so that passengers can get down..so not a big problem in the absence of toilets.

yes but most of the time train is crossing Dooars region in the midnight Hrs both Up & Dn....so Dooars people are not much benefitted...At least the Up train should reach NJP within 15.30-16.00 so that most of the people can board who otherwise wait for Intercity which reaches after midnight.

yes obviously Khana-NFK Section will get more priority because o NTPC Cahalgaon & Farakka....I've recently spotted & uploaded pics for 25kV Electric Sub Station @ Rampurhat....in fact UDL-SNT-NFK is the main target..BHP will be Electrified later because Coal freights will arrive from Jharkhand side

Khana - Pakur section is handled by CORE Bhubaneswar office... And Katihar/NJP/Guwahati is handled by CORE NJP office... CORE has provided deadline for completion but it seems it a distance past... Even railway electrification from Barauni to Guwahati is a National Project... But i have seen in NFR site they are providing very less fund for railway electrification... Though this section electrification was sanctioned in 2008 railway budget... Two section has its own importance for railway electrification...

I do not know why electrification in this region is done so late... Being it into big Thermal Power producing region... Railway could have electrified long ago... NTPC & ER should have stressed this issues long ago...

While over-taking Coooch Behar (NCB) bound 75401 (MLDT-NCB) DEMU Passenger train , we found it surprising that a passenger train with a scheduled stop a Telta (TETA) has been received on the main line and our Kamakhya (KYQ) bound 05643 (KOAA-KYQ) Special over-took it through the loop line !! Excellent train...gr8 in providing sub urban facility..modern and extreme dmu are of immense help...need more dmus on-1.new coochbehar-new jn-new mal jn-njp.3.new coochbehar-dhubri sections....
