Hi! This is a requested train from a particular community after application for the same had been sent along with the number of passengers to attend a special grand function at Haridwar. It is a two way special train with the same rake returning back to Mangalore junction some days later.
This train was requested by GSB (Gowda Saraswathi Brahmin) s of Mangalore region to attend the function of thier seer at Haridwar. But Southern Railways have announced this train as Special Train. As the attendees to the function were more than the total accommodation available while booking the complete rake. Southern Railways have decided to run the train as a One Trip Special.
Vasai Departed at 18:00 reducing the delay to 1.5 hours reaching Vadodara at 22:58 same daly continued of 1.5 hours. Held in Vadodara for 40 minutes. this was ridiculous delaying an already late running train Departed Vadodara at 23:40 Then started the rocket speed reaching nagda at 05:00 . Hopefully kota should be on right time. fingers crossed

What is the point you are trying to make? Is it that MAQ-Delhi does not have enough demand or Rlys are doing something abnormal? Unable to understand the point/ concerns raised by many people about one run of this train. When Mangalore get one trip special, generates this much discussions. When season after season, year after year, when MAQ gets neglected, no one really expressed with this much involvement. OMG.
Aggressive TT, with comfortable departure and arrival time at most of the major station en route, MAO, PNVL, BRC, NZM had made this a hit not only for end to end travelers but also intermediate pax. I guess this one is a perfect O/T b/w MAQ and MAO or may be BRC to NZM/HW...
