Need a Suggestion..
my friend and i had planned a trip to kanyakumari by this train.
he stys in Mumbai and wil board train frm KYN and i sty in SUR and i wana board train frm SUR..
Is it possible to take a Single reservation ticket and board train frm these 2 locations? If this is possible pls explain me HOW??

not possible !
its possible.... bcoz of burden...
Its not possible, instead tell your friend to take a ticket from kyn-sur in this train for himself and then book a separate ticket for both of you from sur-kanyakumari
For you there is no direct option to make your idea practical on single ticket. But you can book two tickets...
But as a suggestion:
Let your friend book from Mumbai to SUR single person.
you book from SUR to Kannyakumari for Two persons...
There is pretty halt of 10 minutes at SUR. and time also is OK for your friend to keep waking for changing the coach/berth if books are separate...

Routes of 11013+16526 is similar of 16381. If both 11013 and 16526 can run with nearly 22 coaches, it is easy to run 16381 also to be added with additional 4 or 5 coaches. Is there any problem to do like that for IR? Because, this train is badly needed for many people to travel in several portion of its journey, and we're getting REGRET/WL, still there is a reluctant in expanding the number of coaches. I am surprised by this point. Expecting your views in this.
Its slow train & traveler prefer it for short duration travel & as compared to other mentioned train!!
That's not correct sir... Still this train caters very well and maintains similar timings for travelling between coimbatore to tirupati/CSTM (Pune to Tirupati/Coimbatore in the reverse). Also the timings are very good that we need not to spend much day time and can utilize night time in the trains. Ultimately, there is a long waiting list is always there for this train.
Well that exist for multiple quota been provided!!
Take away small leg quota & u gonna find this train taking some breath!!
Further, the route been taken by this train, in parts, do have few other option & as discussed, other option too are as lament as this is (Island Exp)!!

The train was diverted via Bangalore due to some doubling works at Tadapatri and this gave me a chance to catch the hunk in LHF with the train.The regular link for this train is a GY WDM3A or WDM3D.

How to do reservation under LB quota....? I mean while booking a ticket v dont get an option of LB quota.....
No we don't get that option while booking online,if available system would allot if you check preference...You can ask for LB preference at PRS counter,clerk can provide it to you if available...It also depends on Age of Passenger while considering the allotment..
