Karaikal SBC in its earlier time was used by lots of passengers boarding from Carmelaram, belandur Road. While its time was around 5pm ( ideal time from office leaving point of view) or thereabouts , it used to run late by 20-25 min making it an ideal option for lots of people working in ORR belt ( Sarjapur Road, Kadubeesanahalli) . It was a quick option for people to got to Bypl for onward metro connectivity as well. Revised time will be delayed by 2hrs. Might be following ERS-SBC intercity express

Oh yes....that is a good point. Ideal time for them to use MEMU. But looking at the time of Karaikal SBC quite surprising as to how SWR is now able to manage terminating trains in peak hours in SBC : ERS-SBC, Karaikal passenger. Few departures also lined up around this time as well !!
