there is something fishy going on and the sad thing is that a lay man like me can understand this but railway authorities cannot !! a train cannot have 80% of its tickets cancelled...this train is worst known for unauthorised HO clearance...as high as 600 rs. for sleeper and 1500 rs.for 3a is charged by agents to get u a tkt in navjeevan...people pay it as they compare it with flights and find it cheaper...but this is not done...wake up authorities...

It was introduced in 1978 by Prabhudas Patwari to run between Madras Beach and Ahmedabad on a weekly basis. Originally numbered as 145/146, it departed Madras Beach at 06:00 on Tuesdays and arrived Ahmedabad the next day at 17:30. On its return lap, it departed Ahmedabad on Thursdays at 06:50, and reached Madras Beach the next evening at 19:50.

There is need for shorter route, as time consumed from point to point journey is tiring.
If with longer route the present time is less than what it used to be initially, definitely the shorter route will be welcome by all...
If IR gives a try to use both routes in 4:3 ratio then great relief to all... as is done for Somnath Jabalpur exp 11463 and 11464...

once the status touches regret...you cant book at irctc/prs...you can do three things-
1 pls try another day/class
2 try tatkal
3 wait for regret status to come down post cancellation of some of the tickets and booking to reopen...

i want to board at BZA for 12656, but i think chart will be prepared at MAS.

Murali, if your tkt is from MAS with boarding at BZA, then MAS is the place to apply for HO quota. However, if both tkt and boarding are from BZA, then you should apply at BZA, provided HO quota is also allotted to BZA.

Since it is e-ticket, it will be automatically cancelled by the system and you will get your refund back within 2-3 days, which will be credited to your Bank Account.
