Probably ED warhorses are known for running long...Seen here is ED WDM - 3A 18532 hauling 16734 Okha - Rameshwaram Express from MMR to RMM :)A train with a history of too many extensions either ends, thanks for sharing :)
too many extensions????initially it ran as MDU-MMR exp..then extended on both ends..RMM-OKHA....
Oh i am not aware much about extensions...will be thankful to you if you can share the details :)
Initially after GC of SC-NZB stretch threby providing direct BG connection from SC-MMR, this was a special for a long time between NSL-TPTY, later regularized with extension either ends as MMR-MDU express..further a final extension to OKHA in one end and RMM in other end with a change in days of operation..

Infact there was a proposal that time to make it a daily between NSL-TPTY as sai balaji express but didnt materialize..

ya when it ran as MMR-MDU-MMR exp,it used to depart MDU on THU...after extension days of operation changed...
oh was not knowing all this info except the point that there was a train between MDU and MMR....thanks for sharing:)
i got a chance of taking the pics of nameboard of this train many times...but always missed...name board depicts image of lord Shiva(Okha)-Pamban bridge(RMM)....

similar long distance diesel exists in SCR too for CCT-Bhavnagar express :)

Yes. The same loco is used throughout. The same is the case with all Gujarat- kerala/ TN trains
Nope for CCT-BVC express 1837 kms from BZA is hauled by MLY diesels..
CBE-BKN also run by single diesel loco through out the journey.
for RMM-OKHA, loco change at MMR..approx 1950 kms with a single diesel loco from RMM-MMR..

TT should be speeded up for this train...From the day of introduction of this train,in every July new TT this train is undergoing TT change..Like-wise in coming July1 TT this train should be speeded up and atleast shhould have timing equal to its counterpart 16734..
