Haldia is full of petro chemical companies. I heard that they had a long time demand to have a train to South. And yes, this is mostly used by them as of the passengers gave this info.
And HLZ is dead end towards Bay of Bengal and extension is not possible AFAIK.

Howrah bound trains from MAS to Bhagalpur...Sir Howrah trains from MAS are congested all the time....How they can be extended???!!!!

look at the rake composition of this train!!!! and moreover railways doesn run trains jus looking at an industrial potential of an area!!! moreover chenna lucknow leaves only on tuesday morning!!! this train arrives at sunday evening!!!! an extension will pssibly make this train arrive in chennai on monday evening leaving a fair amount of time for maitenance and cleaning!!! so it is still possible!!! if hwh bound trains do cannot run after howrah, then look at patronage for yp-mfp express and take a call whether this can be extended!!! if chennai vishakapatnam is made daily and chennai kakinada to superfast!!! then howrah bound trains can breath!!! now with shalimar chennai and mas hwh ac express this extension can very well be managed!!!

If you want a train for your location, u shud ask for it directly from Central Minstry. Y r u wanting to disturb our train frm Haldia which we got after lot of effort. Its mainly for Patients and Students and workers going south.
So please excuse and look some where else.
