rhythmsofrail^~ 8474 blog postsActually crores of people worldwide come in the ocssion of Kumbh Mela to take a holy dipin Ganga & Yamuna Sangam,i.e.,Prayag.One of the holy occassions are considered to be the Poush Sankranthi around Jan 14..there are other dates also,but what is appreciable is that in this time around temperature of ALD will be around 3-4 degrees C,still devotees w/o caring dip into the Holy Prayag even from Night 3 am....Kumbh Mela is considered to be the largest gathering of people anywhere across the world for some religious purpose.You must have heard in Bollywood Movies,about Brothers who got separated in Kumbh Ka Mela.
I heard about the Mela already since childhood... but i was curious for the dates in 2013. it happens in 12years...!!
Its a great Holy occasion to be part of... Have a bath at Sangam... an attain spiritual sanity.. Must for every individual including A Rail fain....
Why a train for such small journey ? 18 k.m. People go using bus, taxi.
Will remain cancelled w.e.f. 01.06.2012

Me too same...Any ways for running a train dedicated Loco, LP's, Gaurds required....For 24 min journey if a special announced how come its profitable to railways ?
There is one dedicated push-pull train with LP and guards.

How come LP, Guards wait for a day ?? This train runs on the day when push-pull wont run. Any ways how many people use this 24min special train??
